I would not recommend installing xp on this motherboard because shortly they will not be sending out any updates for this operating system.  I would not install anything but win 7 or 8 they both run fine I have used both on this motherboard but not xp.  I hope this was some help to you.

Are ssd hard drives compatable?

I have 3 of these motherboards and my primary drive on all systems is a 120gb SSD SATAIII  dirve. The motherboard does not care about the physical drive but more about the interface (Sata, Etc).

Question 4

I have an older antec case with atrue power 380 watt psu.  is that enough psu for this mobo?

The power requirements are related to the CPU and graphics card more than the mobo. Regardless:
I am powering this mobo with a cheap 450W PSU that came with a mini case.
It has:
CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 455 CPU
GPU: AMD HD 6670 GDDR5
1xHDD
1xCD burner

Anyone know if this motherboard is compatible with a GTX 760? Specifically the EVGA SC GTX 760 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130932 Because I really don't feel like replacing my motherboard at the moment.

My son who is an IT specalist at the UofA installed this for me so I asked him.  This is what he said:

Since u don't have this particular video card I couldn't say for sure. But I can't see why it wouldn't work unless its AGP.

Question 6

I read on the manual: ATX 12Volts. At stores I read: ATX 500Watts.
Can I install a 500W, 12Volt ATX without worrying if Amperes go above 26? Amperes = i flow, so, how can I be sure motherboard will be safe with an i >26A?

what maters is the PS build quality, 500 watts 26 amps on a free  no name with case is just to risky for me on any build. but sometimes you get lucky.

Question 7

Picture shows rev 4.1, but the specification says it's rev 5.1. Which is which?!

Also, there's another Newegg listing of this motherboard, and on that listing, the image shows rev 5.1 and the specifications doesn't specify.

Can Newegg please fix this?

my guess is to save photo dollars..they may be showing the photos of the older model..if you see rev 4.1  they are advertising this as the rev 5.1  the one i bought was for a friend and that computer is with her..box too..

What is the actual Min to max Wattage requirement for this motherboard on PSU? Mine was a logisys rated for 600W, before it smoked out.
Further things being ran are two hard drives and a GeForce video card.

600w should have been fine, but it is always better to get more than you need. running a power supply at 60% duty cycle is better than running it at 80% duty cycle.

Will this work with amd FX 6300? The sockets are the same but the board doesn't support FX cpu
