Great performance on 7680x1440p Triple monitor surround setupa

Pros: Fastest gaming GPU on the market.

Cons: No fancy lights and high price.

Other Thoughts: This card pumps out 60fps or more on every FPS title I've thrown at it in 7680x1440P with the exception of a few. That resolution is equivalent to 5K plus! This card shines in the 4k and multiple monitor setup world!

Temps seem to be very respectable. Don't be concerned with the lack of heat pipes. This unit has the largest single slab of heatsink I have ever seen. Because it is one large piece and not two like most cards these days it does not require the heat pipes to transfer the heat from one to the other.

The included software makes it easy to control and monitor the fans, clock speeds and memory speeds.

No, this isn't the prettiest 2080ti on the market, but so far it seems to be an excellent card and most importantly, Newegg got it to me already and I'm not waiting around wondering when I'll get my hands on one. Thanks Newegg!

EDITED 12/2/2018:
So I've been running this card since September 30th and I am still extremely happy with its performance. I have run it in 7680x1440 on 3 ROG swift 27" gsync screens since then and haven't had any issue with getting 60+ fps with the graphics set well above low. Hunt Showdown, Battlefield V & 1, Tomb Raider Shadow.., Overkills Walking Dead, Rust, The Hunter Call of the Wild, and PayDay 2 all run excellent with Nvidia Surround enabled. Shortly after I installed the card I used the included Asus GPU Tweak 2 to overclock the clock +135 and memory +350 with NO ISSUES. Using the same software I changed the fan speed curve to go to 100% when the card reaches 80C. Since setting it this way I have not seen temps over 75C. This temp might not sound all that impressive, but the bottom line is that it is well below the thermal threshold of the card. I do game with headphones so if the fans are loud as I've read in other reviews, I have not noticed. Again, this heatsink is a SINGLE large piece, instead of two pieces like most of the other aftermarket cards offer. No heat pipes needed to connect them. I have read some of the failure reports, hopefully this card continues to perform as it does. The 2080ti is the only card on the market that will allow me to play newer games in 7680x1440 on 3 montiors and still get good frame rates. I aim for over 100 fps for competitive online shooters and this card really has not let me down, even at 7680x1440. I will definitely report back here if it lets me down! So far so good, Thanks Asus and Newegg!

Well it was good

Pros: Super fast BO4 getting 120-150FPS at 3440x1440 up from 40-60fps on my 1080 FE

Cons: Mostly played Black Ops 4 and noticed my sky textures started flickering then my game froze but not the computer it self. I restarted BO4 happened again but sooner then the top half of my screen was dimming from low to high brightness then game froze. tried again sooner but the textures I was getting black flickering boxes on the building then game froze. Put my 1080 back in and no issues. I really wanted Newegg to refund me so I can buy the Strix version instead but they said its exchange only so now I can't wait to see how many cards I have to exchange since it seems this has a higher failure rate.

Other Thoughts: Probably buy a Strix if you really wanted Asus rather be happy than frustrated

Fun while it lasted :(

Pros: Card performed great while it lasted.. Very high frame rates at 1440p! I'm talking max details with all the eye candy! Rainbow six siege ran 150-200fps most of the time, same with Destiny 2.

Cons: When it worked it ran HOT, over 80c out of the box stock till I used GPU Tweak to adjust the fan curve. Fans had to be at 70+% to keep the card in the 70s (C), this made the card pretty loud all the time.

Now the card is dead, lasted a month and 5 days. Games started crashing within minutes (stock clocks) then artifacted heavily and turned my screen green. I even smelt a little bit of burning from the card afterwards....Plugged in my old 980 gpu and the computer is running great again.

Other Thoughts: I just mailed the card today for RMA, hope it goes quickly. Once I have my new card and everything works fine, I'll come back and edit the review. Also this might not be on Asus, it seems lots of 2080 ti's of many makes are failing.

Dear Ryan,

Hello, thank you for taking your time in writing this review, we value your feedback. The 2080ti cards are known to run hotter. It is unfortunate that your video card is no longer working after a month. When you downclock your card, are you still getting artifacting? It looks like you're in the process of an RMA. Great card if you're into both gaming and machine learning

Pros: -Powerful card for the price.
-Buying 2 is still cheaper than a Titan V
-can run bfv in dx11 at 165 hz

Cons: -Ray tracing is a major disappointment for gaming
-running bfv @2560x1440 w/ dx12 and dxr cuts fps in half
-A competitive first-person shooter was probably a poor choice for the first game to use ray tracing
-it's hard to see enemies with everything on ultra(first world problems), so you have to dial down the graphics if you want to be competitive. I'll run straight at enemies and not be able to see them because they blend in with the terrain so well.

Other Thoughts: The market for this card seems niche. For gamers it's hard to justify how expensive the card is for the additional performance and features. For machine learning researchers this card seems like a bargain compared to the GV100 and the Titan V. Feels like this card is made for people like me that do research but are also into gaming.

Cant wait for a gorgeous RPG or any non-competitive game. Although BFV still looks beautiful in dx11 with no raytracing.

I don't have temperature problems like others are having. I use 2 profiles in GPU Tweak II: 1 OC for gaming 2100Mhz GPU core with 7500 Mhz memory. I kick on the fans at 55c and linearly ramp them up to 100% at 70c. The other profile is stock for ultra stability when I need to use it for programming stuff.

With the OC profile I never see temps get above 65c while gaming, but I do have a lot of air flow though my case.

WAS Fast, Really Really Fast....

Pros: The frame per second on this thing is amazing. (WHEN IT WORKED)
144FPS at 2k in most games I tried. (BF1, Overwatch exceptions so far being `90FPS in AC:Odyssey at Ultra.
Good frames even in the Bard's Tale IV 70-90 @max settings. Decent cooling with fans "unlocked" to 100% this card never went above 70C

Cons: As everyone mentioned the fans are locked without a third party program to set the fan curve. Very annoying. Without GPU Tweak or MSI Afterburner etc the card will hit 80-81C but the fans are capped at 50%.
Also if it wasn't obvious enough PRICEY ALSO THE CARD DIED IN UNDER A MONTH!!!

Other Thoughts: Edit: my card died on 11/10/18, Just under 4 weeks of having the card. I got a screen of Space Invader's artifacts and then the card no longer booted into Windows. Removed the card and the computer ran fine. Complete new build btw. Aside from unlocking the fans to run @70%. This card was never overclocked past the stock boost clock 1650MHz. Sent to Asus for RMA. Massive disappointment on my end. Never again will I buy a new card in the first year.

Even at 50% fan speed the fans can be noticeably loud. NewEgg has already delisted this card so no one will probably read this regardless of what I write. But I hope ASUS release a better fan curve via a bios update. I don't like having to tweak the GPU using software.
14000Mhz on the memory and 1650 on the boost clock. Not bad

Dropped my review from 4 stars to 1 star.

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for sharing for your experience regarding our product. We value your feedback. It is unfortunate that your video card is no longer working under 4 weeks of having it. It looks like you're in the process of an RMA. Let me know how it goes. Regarding the GPU Tweak software, it is needed to change the fan curve of the card. By default, the card's 0DB technology makes it so that the card will only turn on when it hits above 55 Celcius. Sorry for the inconvenience. Only 100fps on 1080p ultra setting in PUBG??

Pros: It is 2080 ti

Cons: Price...
Least put some RGB or better heat sink

Other Thoughts: After I played PUBG FPS is not what I expected. Even 2080 ti goes up to 130 or 140 in online benchmark. I am not sure If my GPU having a issue

Good card, Poor cooler

Pros: - TU102 Die | it's a 2080 TI ....
- Binned chip, TU102-300A-K1-A1

Cons: - Runs Hot, without a overclock it hit's 87C almost immediately in my case, starts to throttle down to keep temps at 87c
- Asus puts a sticker on one of the 4 screws as to use it like a "warranty void if removed sticker" but with no writing on it just a dot.
- 120% power limit vs 130% as other manufactures. Hopefully ASUS will have an update one day.

Other Thoughts: - on water mine can reach core clock of 2095Mhz while hitting only 52c gaming and after about 4hours of hardcore gaming its only at 65c.
- if you are going to buy this card and keep the stock cooler on it you may be disappointed. I would look into a 3 fan card.

Dear Anthony,

Hello, I would like to thank you for taking your time in writing this review. We certainly value your feedback. It is unfortunate to hear that your video card is reaching high temperatures even without an overclock. Keep in mind that this video card uses 0dB technology, meaning that the fans will only turn on when your card reaches a certain temperature. You can set your own fan curve, via our GPU Tweak software. As of May 8th, your warranty shall not be void if any warranty seals are altered, tampered, or removed (for the U.S.). Best card, horrible cooling

Pros: Although not the best benchmark I decided to play Fallout 4 everything on ultra @ 4k resolution with the game locked at 60 fps. This was with the card in its stock configuration in my full tower corsair with all four case fans running at full speed ambient room temperature 70F. Let me say card ran the game like a champ......for 10 minutes.

Cons: Stock the two dinky little fans will only run up to 50%, this is why it overheats in 10 minutes. Fortunately I had previously heard of the issue and was closely monitoring it the temperature. With the Asus software I was able to keep the GPU cool, running fans at 80-90% and i'll tell you one reason Asus capped them at 50% because it sounds like an airplane is taking off in my house. So few hundred more dollars I water cooled it and now I'm happy.

Other Thoughts: I love Asus and always have but I think they seriously dropped the ball on this one, paying top dollar and stock overheating in 10 minutes? Don't get me started on the packaging for this 1,300$ graphics card that now has no Asus parts on it. I should give it a 1 star because the only good part is the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti
