Question 1

Anyone have issues with the weight on this card damaging the PCI-e slot over time? Seems very heavy and im worried about having to re-purchase a new mobo...

I haven't had a problem. Then again, I have a mid tower case, so I had to cut into my hard drive bays to make it fit. I cut it just wide enough to fit on both sides of the bay. The side effect of doing that is that the hard drive bay now supports the video card, so there is no sag to be seen. Most people haven't had a problem, just make sure you have it screwed in securely in the rear.

is this the best option for Gtx 980ti ?

I believe this is the 980Ti board with the highest clock speed out of the box. (You can google for clock speed comparisons, but newegg won't let me link to them).

I've had this card for 4 months or so, I mostly use it for GPU computing, but it is super fast, and I'm happy with it.

Question 3

I recently ordered this card, and it is on it way to me. It requires two PCIe 8 pin connectors, I have a Corsair RM750 the PCIe 6+2 leads have two 6+2 connectors. Is it safe to use a single lead (both 6+2 connectors), or should I be using two separate leads from my psu?

It's safe. I have 2 of these in SLI and both use 2 6+2 power connectors.

I read somewhere that the display ports only push 60 hz is this correct?

Maybe at 4k it's 60hz, but i am running 96hz on my 1440p monitor through display port.

Question 5

Anyone know if this will fit in a Corsair AR540 case? It is slightly longer than recommended specs... the manual says max length for GPU is 320mm.... but this card is 328.2. Thanks!

I assume this is a little late for the OP, but might help someone in the future. I own that exact case and GFX card and it does fit with about half an inch clearance between the back the card and the 140mm front case fan?

I have a 750watt PSU, will that be enough with this card as well as my 8350 using 1.48v?

If you have a decent psu should be fine, I'm running it, a 4770k at 1.36v ten  fans, pump,  6 hdds, one ssd and 3 optical devices and load at about 560w when staring at say crisis 3's sky box.

Just over twelve inches. Don't bother getting a new case, just cut the length you need out of your hard drive bay, make sure it's cut so the card can REST evenly on the bay in between the cuts you made, it's heavy!

Exact length is 12.92" as it says in the graphical description below. Since your case is a full tower, it will likely fit inside. You may have to remove a drive bay though.
