Are the cables that come with this good enough to use, or should I buy diffrent cables?

The quality of the cables is fine and I doubt you would have issues with length (but of course extensions are available). If cable colour is an issue, then cable sleeves are always an option.

Would exercise caution in replacing modular cables since the connectors directly to the PSU unit (not the ones that plug into your components) are not guaranteed to be standardized across manufacturers (it's even possible that within a manufacturer it's different). Unless you do your compatibility research well, there is a possibility of doing damage to either or both your PC or PSU where the cable spec is different.

Can this be installed on it's side without affecting anything, fan speed?

It should be mounted down unless you put the computer on a carpeted floor then it can be mounted up... as long as there is adequate ventilation for it. If the screw holes match and it has plenty of ventilation then I suppose you could mount it on its side, but I would not do it.
