Intel SSD 760p Series
Available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities
Accelerate Your PC Performance

A great choice for power users. The Intel SSD 760p series features a high-speed PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe interface and leverages advanced Intel 3D NAND technology, delivering twice the capacity and twice the PCIe performance than its previous generation – the Intel SSD 600p series. Thanks to the exclusive low power modes, it reduces power consumption by up to 50% 1 compared with the Intel SSD 600p series. Additionally, it uses AES 256-bit full disk encryption for worry-free data security. Its ultra-thin M.2 profile allows for seamless integration into a wide range of devices from desktops to slim laptops.

Features and Benefits
Performance to Handle Multiple Tasks

The SSD 760p is designed to effortlessly manage demanding consumer client applications and easily handle intense multi-tasking. The SSD 760p accelerates platform performance with sequential reads of up to 3,230 megabytes, sequential writes of up to 1625 megabytes per second (MB/s), and random read and write input/output operations per second (IOPS) of up to 340K and 275K, respectively2. The SSD 760p enables PC users to experience enhanced efficiency with applications they care about, and up to 6x better performance2 than SATA SSDs.

3D NAND Delivers Up to 2TB Capacity

The SSD 760p is part of the Intel 3D NAND SSD family of products. Built on Intel 3d NAND technology, these SSDs are designed to transform the economics of storage. The SSD 760p offers capacity points up to 1TB on single-side M.2, and up to 2TB on double-sided M.2, enabling system designers the flexibility to design for thin/light systems or to provide space for other components.

The combination of Intel 3D NAND technology and PCIe enables Intel SSDs to push limits of performance and value.

Performance at Lower Power

The SSD 760p provides extended battery life through low power modes. It reduces idle consumption from watts to milliwatts. When coupled with an 8th generation Intel Core processor-based platform, the advanced power mode settings reduce active and idle power consumption by up to 50% versus the prior generation device(SSD 600p series)1.

Quality and Reliability You Can Trust

The high-quality SSD 760p supports AES 256-bit self-encryption to provide protection of critical data stored on the device.

Great SSD

Pros: It was free. Pretty nice SSD, in M.2 size. 256 is enough for windows OS and some games or movies whatever you want.

Cons: None

Great little M.2 PCIe 256GB SSD

Pros: This unit was purchased as a backup of the existing Samsung 970 EVO Drive in my PC, so the comparison was made between the two:
- It runs (almost) as fast as the Samsung: it is only a few clicks slower than Samsung on CrystalDiskMark 6
- Its temp is about the same as Samsung: 32-degree-C to 40-degree-C (idle to loaded). I consider that is very good since I have a heatsink installed on the Samsung unit (I installed a heatsink on the Samsung after I found it ran very hot, 40+ degree-C, after initial installation - was the hottest item in my PC; as matter of fact, the Samsung SSD is still the hottest component inside the PC case!)
- Its cost is $30+ less than Samsung (bought it on sale for $59.99)

Cons: None. It is put away with the latest system image now, and I hope I'll never have to take it out (to replace the Samsung unit IF it ever fails).

Other Thoughts: Just noticed Samsung 970EVO 250GB is on sale now (10/29/18) on NewEgg.com for $15 less than when I bought it. I'd have bought it again IF I had not bought the Intel unit.

LOL, ubuntu.

Pros: CM benchmark as follow:

Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 3117.173 MB/s
Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 1238.949 MB/s
Random Read 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 779.311 MB/s [ 190261.5 IOPS]
Random Write 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 740.972 MB/s [ 180901.4 IOPS]
Random Read 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 293.162 MB/s [ 71572.8 IOPS]
Random Write 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 228.319 MB/s [ 55741.9 IOPS]
Random Read 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 62.629 MB/s [ 15290.3 IOPS]
Random Write 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 128.191 MB/s [ 31296.6 IOPS]

Test : 1024 MiB [C: 13.9% (33.2/237.9 GiB)] (x5) [Interval=5 sec]
Date : 2018/07/30 0:42:17
OS : Windows 10 Professional [10.0 Build 17134] (x64)

As you can see, it's very fast and so far reliable, have not had any issues with the drive and speed is always there.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I'm so glad ADATA canceled my order for their 2xxGB PCIe which resulted in me buying this Intel drive and I'm confident that the Intel one is way better in terms of quality than ADATA.

If there's a day I'll upgrade to a 512GB nvme x4 drive, I can't say that I'll go with Intel but most likely it will be a WD Black, because as of today, for a mere $23 (current price difference), the WRITE speeds can jump to 900MB/s more than the Intel. And not only that but I trust WD as much as Intel. I was on a little bit of a budget when I got this 256GB Intel but for those that are willing to spend an extra $20, the WD Black is the way to go based on the considerable difference in the WRITE speeds.

The difference between boot up times with a SATA SSD vs a nvme SSD is amazing, the nvme is the way to go for the main drive for those with motherboards capable of handling nvme PCIe 3 x4. I'm glad I did.

I bought the WD Black nVme 500GB for $129.99 and so far it's better than the Intel, in terms of speed that is, because of reliability and stability, both are phenomenal drives.

poor performance wonky speed tests

Pros: better than old ssd

Cons: Poor performance wonky speed tests performed many speed tests in two different computers every test came out with different speed results most with poor Max Sequential Write results. Also crashed my computer performing the tests two times I reformatted it and had the best speed tests but with the second test preformed minutes later I received very poor speed numbers again

Other Thoughts: I do not recommend this ssd my SAMSUNG 970 EVO drive is a solid very fast ssd the intel .....NO I dont trust it.

Very fast drive

Pros: Part of the mobo (cosmetically) and fast once installed

Cons: Getting it to work in linux, have to sudo update-grub to clear errors

Other Thoughts: Have one in an i5 and 2200g amd. Amd was tricky since cpu isnt mulithreaded yet bios had it turned on

wish i got it sooner

Pros: it is way faster then my sata 2 drive, and so much smaller!

Cons: not with the drive. but that tiny screw

Other Thoughts: i got this to put windows and all my other programs like antivirus, ccleaner, obs, video editor. but mainly to keep windows all by itself and as fast as possible. it has improved boot time by atleast 5 seconds. it may not be as fast as the samsung 960 but for the price and being faster than sata 3 it was a steal! after installing windows install the intel nvme driver and your good to go.

Should I stay with 950Pro, 960Evo, or move to Intel 760P?

Pros: I have used the 950Pro, 960Evo, and now building a X299 system with VROC boot drive using Intel 760p. It is advantageous to use the Intel 760p in the VROC boot setup with X299 systems because Intel is recognized/setup RAID 0 without using the VROC key. With this configuration, the 760p will scale up all speeds including random/IOPS very well without saturating the PCH bus. Depends on your specific usage and needs. The 950Pro is a solid performer. With the 960Evo, my write speeds did deteriorate over one year, and bottomed out at 1250mb/s, so this was disappointing. My bet would be to stay with the 950Pro unless you are building an X299 system for Video Editing, content creation. Then you would really reap the benefits by moving to Intel 760p in RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 with key.

Cons: None , this is the newest higher-end consumer offering before stepping up to Enterprise grade
