Is this drive compatible with XBox 360?

I don't see why it shouldn't:
There was an update in May to support this. Research it, I can't post html.

I haven't switched between my one and 360 to see if they meld together seamlessly, for say transfers for backwards capability that's coming soon, but I feel it should.

But essentially, it's a 2TB drive with 3.0 USB. Currently supported by 360, but the 3.0 USB is mandatory for the one.

Question 2

Will this work well with the Wii U (Nintendo recommends an external HDD with an external power source)?

Does it have an A/C in?

This model hard drive will only work with the Xbox 1 and 360. Since the power supplied to the Xbox has sufficient power to power the drive. You will need to purchase a Y-adapter to use it on the Wii since it will power and also be able to read/write to the drive. Is this hardrive capable of being used for simple data storage from a PC?

Yes it is. I have had success using it as media storage for my videos that I watch. They load and transfer just fine. It is a 7200 RPM drive, so it is much faster than your traditional ones. It works just as well as a game storage drive for Xbox One or Xbox 360.

What is the difference between this and a regular my passport? I just want a external portable drive

The Passport X comes pre-formatted to work with the Xbox One. The regular Passports are pre-formatted as NTFS drives.

That's pretty much it. If you plug a vanilla Passport into the Xbox One, it'll just ask if you want to reformat it to work with the Xbox, after which it will only be usable by the Xbox; you won't be able to use this drive as an external for the PC, unless you reformat it again using the PC.

Will a single USB 2.0 port power this hard drive, or does it require 3.0?

Some ports seem to power this but if so at reduced performance. I wouldn't get this product unless it's for a 3.0 port. I've used this for a couple years on my Xbox one with no issues. Only about sec second delay on loading into games compared to those I play with.

Not sure what version of destiny comes with this now; when I purchased it there was no promotion. However, I use it for exactly what that promotion implies; as an external hard drive for my XBOX One and it works fantastic so far.
