Network Video Recorders (NVR) store video recordings, so you always have records on hand. Different recorder features allow you to accomplish a variety of actions, including accessing your home wireless hidden camera from across the world, setting up a surveillance room for your security personnel or letting you store your surveillance footage in the cloud. Digital Video Recorders (DVR) do the same thing with similar but different equipment. Whether you’re a small local business looking to install hardwired DVR dome security cameras, or a homeowner looking for a wireless IP camera NVR, Newegg.com has a variety of video recorders to meet your surveillance needs.

Network Video Recorders Offer Internet Surveillance

There are two types of Network Video Recorders; Wi-Fi® NVRs with no camera ports connect to wireless surveillance, and PoE NVRs which use Ethernet ports to connect PoE cameras. NVRs connect to their cameras wirelessly or with a CAT5 or CAT6 Ethernet cord with RJ45 plugs. Video processing takes place in the camera then broadcasts a digital video signal from an IP address. That allows you to view your webcam feed from anywhere in the world. You can back up camera footage to several servers in various places, enabling you to facilitate multi-location and multi-room monitoring of cameras. Installing NVR cameras gets you better picture quality for making out details, such as facial features or license plates. You’ll also be able to regulate the number of data retention days with flexible data storage. Using the latest compression techniques such as H.256 helps reduce storage space consumption. Its requirement of different levels of authorization for users provides a high level of data security as well.

Digital Video Recorder Provides Hardwired Security

A Digital Video Recorder uses analog cameras connected by a coax cable to a central hub to record data. The DVR surveillance security system is usually set up as an intranet to enhance security, as the live feed survey must be by someone wired into the system. A Digital Video Recorder has a small built-in chip that processes the video at the recorder where you view and playback recordings. With fast internet speeds, a single Ethernet cable can get the DVR to stream a digital signal through the internet so you see your camera’s live feed remotely.

Cloud-Based Storage Provides Safer Storage

Cloud-based storage manages multimedia video produced by surveillance cameras, optimizes their exportation according to network conditions and stores them efficiently and securely. Since you store data in a virtual space cloud, video recorders protect your data against loss from damaged equipment. The system’s also designed for remote operation to allow you to access your wireless camera data from anywhere. It operates across multiple platforms, thus making it easy to expand to multiple sites without additional costs. Since it’s connected over a network, you can pair several camera brands and even drones to work with your cloud storage solution.

LTS DVRs are great!

“ I really like these DVR/NVRs - A little more involved to setup, but worth it. ”
