What size battery does it take and how long does a battery last?

How many photos can it hold?

Accepted Answer

It doesn't use batteries.  It comes with a AC adapter that plugs into the wall.

It has a internal memory that will hold quite a few photos, but the number depends on the file size of each photo.  It also accepts SD cards and other types of plug-in memory, so the number of photos which can be displayed also depends of the capacity of the SD cards or other memory you plug in.

You didn't ask, but note that the screen is somewhat reflective and the photos may "wash out" in bright sunlight.

Question 2

What are the exact measurements of the power adapter???  I have an outlet that I would hang the frame over but the power adapter for the frame I already have doesn't fit inside the outlet box.

It is a standard plug for the power supply, the plug has a cord maybe 3 feet long that plugs into a 12v power supply converter, the converter has a 3 foot cord that plugs into the back of the frame. Just imagine a standard 6 foot long power cord with the converter in the middle.

Does this use a plug in or battery to operate?

Plug only.  So make sure you don't mind seeing the cord.  But that's better/cheaper than always having to use batteries.  I believe all of these digital frames use a plug, never seen one run on batteries.

can this frame be loaded from a usb connection?

I think you can plug in a usb drive, but I'm not using the frame any more and would not recommend it.  It stopped displaying properly shortly after the warranty expired.  There is apparently a good reason why Aluratek provides only a relatively short warranty.

Question 5

Will this monitor play videos off a USB stick? What file format will it play? Is there a way to loop these videos as well?

Hi, sorry I'm so late in responding.  I love this picture frame.  Yes, it plays videos off a USB stick using AVI format perfectly.  I can use the remote to skip through them, or just let them go on there own.  Have to turn the volume up as high as it will go.  I have a 4GB flash drive in there now which is only videos, and it continually loops between 3 separate folders that I have organized, one for each grandchild.  It's so much easier then booting up the computer.  Unfortunately, a lot of my videos have a .MOV extension which I play through Quicktime on my computer which I guess I have to change to AVI for the frame to pick up, but not sure how to do that.  This frame is well worth the money for what it does.

I use the scan disks from my digital camera for the JPEGS organized by year, and enjoy looking at 2013's SD now and let it play on and on until the end of the year when 2014 will soon replace it and the new memories will live on.  Love the automatic 
shut off at 9:00pm, which is a great option in setup.
