Pros: Price is low for such a capable CPU. will Overclock to 4.5 Ghz stable at close to 1.5 volts. 1.435-1.45 volts (motherboard dependent) for 4.2 Ghz. That voltage may not be needed, but for 24/7 benching and stability test I found that's close

Cons: It is a budget CPU. Although very good for price range, you might want a better model if you plan to do video encoding. That's not a con for me, but might be for others.

Overall Review: If you're a gamer this CPU will do just fine. All games now are GPU bound. 2013 and up anyway. I have been running nothing but bench, calculating, heat, and operation test since this CPU arrived. If you are worried about GPU bottlenecks, don't. It will bottleneck a 290x in crossfire and maybe a 28x in crossfire, but single GPU testing showed no bottleneck. If you don't crossfire the most expensive video cards on the market then you should have no issues in gaming. If you are such an enthusiast that you have a 290x crossfire setup, then you probably was not looking at this CPU anyway.

Pros: Fast CPU for what its worth; Can play all my games smoothly with Radeon R9 280 3GB without fails. Bottle necking feels like its gone after switching from an intel core duo using the same gpu.

Cons: none.

Overall Review: For some who usually claim D.O.A, i believe you are the ones misplacing the CPU into the socket or a rubish mobo not reading it properly.

Pros: This is a A10 7850K with the GPU disabled and runs great. See other thoughts for how to correctly measure the cpu temps hint..thermal margin.

Cons: Not 8 core

Overall Review: It does run a bit warm with the stock cooler, which is junk, but if you put a good one on their with a 120mm fan this will run cool. You also have to use the AMD over drive app to monitor the temp as these CPUs use a thermal margin to measure temps. For example sitting idle with a Thermalright AXP 200 with a 140mm fan my setup reports a thermal margin of 70, this is not the actual temp, it's how far you have to go before it will overheat. Under load the thermal margin will go down and be around 40.

Pros: 1. Runs nice right out of the box. 2. No issues with having to update bios for this chip (haven't used the mobo in a couple months) 3. Overclocks like a champ, but as a previous reviewer stated, negligible performance difference after 4Ghz. 4. No temperature issues like I had with previous iterations 750k and 760k. 5. solid piece of hardware based off Kaveri

Overall Review: Temperatures are down because of the cooler that I have. decided, for upgrade and future sake, to get the Corsair H110 280mm AIO. Keeps this cpu so darn cool I don't think even under full load I've seen it peak over 58c.

Pros: - Cheap & Affordable - Over Clocks Like a Beast (4.6GHz on air) - Great For a Budget Gaming Build - Quad Core - Newer AMD 28nm Chip - Better Single Core Performance Compared to AMD's FX CPU's

Cons: - Gets a Little Hot - No Upgrade Paths For FM2/FM2+ - No L3 Cache

Overall Review: Overall, this is the best deal imo, for a budget gaming build. Decent multiple and single core performance for 70 bucks. It gets no better than that. The over clocking potential definitely helps give you more bang for the buck. I paired this with an R9 380 4GB video card and there isn't a game I can't get high to max settings on, and get 50-60+fps @ 1080p, even on GTA 5.

Pros: -Inexpensive because it does not have an integrated GPU -overclocked nicely to 4.6 GHz (didnt try any higher)

Cons: -stock heatsink/fan not very good. But they never are from either intel or amd.

Overall Review: Most boards will probably require a bios flash prior to installing this chip. At stock speeds the voltage can probably be lowered a bit to keep it cooler. At overclock i was running 4.2ghz at 1.35v and 1.5v for 4.6ghz. I could probably have lowered those more. If you plan to overclock, do not use the stock heatsink/fan. (yes this question comes up)

Pros: Easy to Overclock and runs all the games very good when paired with a GTX 960 or 970 make sure they are 4GB versions and R9 380 and 380X

Overall Review: I recommend this for anyone who wants a affordable Gaming PC and don't bother Overclocking in GTA V because the Overclock makes it run worse so keep that in mind and also if you want crazy crazy performance go for a I5 6600K or a FX 9590 but if you are building a budget PC of $400 to $500 I totally recommend it

Overall Review: Bought to replace an A10-7850K and ASUS motherboard lost due to an unexpected blackout. Since the computer had a 7870 Radeon card in it and we weren't using the onboard video this Athlon CPU was a cheaper replacement while I waited for AMD to replace the CPU (that is why I buy always the retail version for the better warranty). Everything runs just like before and I didn't even have to re-verify Windows. AMD replaced my A10-7850K but I will just keep that CPU as a spare since the Athlon works so well.
