Pros: pros, It's a new release to update my 5 year old cpu and a good price with promo code. Really woke up my computer.
Cons: Cons, Not a one.
Overall Review: I needed to replace my first gen Ryzen 1300x cpu. Should be obvious to anyone, I am not a gamer. But I do like an adequate and responsive computer machine. I know that the am4 is winding down, but can still serve me well. The Ryzen 5600 has received some very good reviews from Tom's and GamersNexus and Paul of Hardware fame says it's the only one of recent releases that's worth a 'darn'. I am tickled pink (look up what that means kids) that I made the buy. Long overdue.
Pros: Cheaper than the X version , nearly the same performance.
Overall Review: If one really wanted to , a 200mhz overclock would net the same as the 5600X for less. I have owned both through different revisions of my build. Real world performance difference is not noticable. Save a few bucks and put it towards other components.
Pros: Just as fast as 5600x.
Doubled cpu speeds v 2200g.
Able to drop into Asrock A320M-HDV (almost 5 years old).
Overall Review: Will update this review if there's any problems.
But $160.00 drop in upgrade to double cpu speeds is pretty cost effective upgrade.
Pros: -I'm loving the this CPU, I'm pairing it with a 1660 super and they are a great combo for 1080p gaming with amazing FPS
Cons: -I don't have any complaints :D
Overall Review: - This is a great CPU for a mid tier build, the price tag is hard to beat, I would recommend getting a solid Mobo with it just in case you feel like upgrading later!!!
Pros: B stepping, currently running 4300mhz all core 1.025volts. I also checked it at 4700mhz all core 1.235 volts. It's a very good chip. I test with x265 4k 2x hbot bench, tho I have yet to test long term with handbrake. Not bad for 144 buckaroos. It's been very stable, not one crash running on a msi x470 gaming max 3600 mem 1800clk cas 16
Overall Review: way to go AMD.
Pros: It is noticeably quicker than the Ryzen 7 2700 that it replaced.
Cons: At this time, nothing negative.
Overall Review: The first 5600 CPU sent to me did not work out of the box. NewEgg replaced it without any hesitation; their service is appreciated. Some advice; this CPU is a new model and up-to-date drivers and bios firmware may be necessary to get it to work properly. See attachment for specs on CPU, RAM, & Motherboard.
Pros: - works amazingly like dang. this might be the smoothest computer ive ever had.
- Packaging was completely intact unlike two other US-based parts I ordered.
- good price for a good cpu
Cons: - the shipping from this seller is slow if you're in the US, but that's not their fault, and the customer service person is incredibly sweet.
Overall Review: If you don't mind the wait, and this seller is selling something fairly cheap? Spring for it. But if you don't mind springing an extra 20-30 bucks and you're an impatient little scamp, it's probably best to go somewhere else.
Pros: -Fast CPU
-Best value in 2022 IMHO
-Easy to install
-Better power consumption than Intel (think of your power bill and the planet)
Cons: -I truly can't think of any.
Overall Review: As the title says I upgraded from an i7-6700k, I was hesitant because I could still game with an RX 5600 XT but I noticed on some games there was stutter even thou average FPS tend to be on 60 (I'm not a hardcore/competitive gamer who cares about high refresh monitors, I have a 4k 60hz Freesync monitor) so I thought the CPU was needing an upgrade, I also noticed that my DAW(music making software) was struggling to run some plugins smoothly which provoked inconsistent random sounds or missed notes. So I came to the conclusion it was time to upgrade, I checked and the increase in performance from a 5600 to the 8 core 5700X wasn't worth the extra 70dlls at the time I purchased, so I made the change and, oh yes this is what I needed, not a single missed or jagged note in my hobby produced songs, and games are smooth as butter obviously at 1440 medium settings or 1080 ultra. I think in games this CPU pushed the 1% way higher and probably that got rid of stutter in AC Odyssey and even some pop in I used to see.
Hope this helps someone on the edge of upgrading from an old CPU.
