Pros: One of the easiest builds. Used memory on the list. Booted up faster than a Ryzen build for first time. Stock clock was disappointing on bench marks . Going to 3.7 G clock woke it up and benchmarks showed it. Runs cool with air cooler.
Cons: Ups monkeys tried to kill the cpu. Not sellers fault. The plastic enclosure was broken but cpu was unharmed. I'd give amd a bonus for that packaging design.
Overall Review: Asrock did good on this. Install CD had usb drivers for Win 7 that worked without a problem. Just had to swap ps2 mouse and keyboard between boots. I like w7 has more color than life less W10. Still have a HD with W10 on it. I swap them when I want. Used Memory on the list and was easy bootup first time.Power it has. Will try upping the clock later . Runs at 3.7G without sweat. I disable auto core boost and set manual voltage and clock. Keeps the heat down. Using air cooler, Used Asrock mobo. Nice step up from the ryzen

Overall Review: Bought this for our new home office computer. Runs smoothly for my wife's work and I'm really impressed with it running games and other programs at the same time. I would highly recommend this processor for your next home computer build!

Overall Review: So far I am impressed with it. I used to think AMD was the power house processor for Video editing, and other creative aspects of PC use, while intel was leading the game rigs. Im sold, no performance issues thus far and with the H100i Cooler it has not gotten above 50 degrees.
Pros: 8 cores... Threadripper... does a load of work.
Cons: Only gave it 4 eggs as this is the smallest Threadripper. Goal is to upgrade to the 2950X 16-core when I get the money.
Overall Review: Smallest Threadripper of all but its a workhorse for my CAD, video and music software. Getting more results for me than most (if not all) i9s.

Overall Review: I'd highly recommend it for anybody building a workstation on a budget. Good to see AMD come back so strong, I hadn't built an AMD rig in 20 years, and it went smooth.

Overall Review: I use my machine at 100% 24/7. I replaced an Intel Core i7-3960. I thought that this CPU would create more heat. It doesn't. I thought it would take a bit more power from the wall. It doesn't. This CPU is very big and very heavy. I work as a tech and I had to bring the CPU to work because I knew that I could not convey the weight of this thing. It's cool! I bought the Noctua brand TR4 air cooler which was the cheapest one I could find and it works great. It is slightly more powerful than my old CPU, uses slightly less energy and is roughly just as hot as the old CPU.
