Every advancement in computer technology -- every new graphics card, sound card or CPU, means a greater need for power. The Apevia (Aspire) ATX-CW500WP4 500W Power Supply is high on efficiency and reliability, with a clean design that helps reduce power consumption, while solid construction ensures system stability. It has dual fans that provide quiet, powerful cooling, while industrial-grade protection circuitry protects against power and voltage surges.
A thermal fan speed controller adjusts fan speed while balancing cooling, power consumption, and noise emission. Independent voltage control loop and industrial grade components allow your fan to provide stable output and protection from power and voltage surges.
Two +12V rails (12V1, 12V2), will support most of your components under any load. It has one main connector (20 + 4 pin), one 12V (P4), two SATA, two Floppy, and six peripheral connectors. This state-of-the-art power supply also features universal input and ATX12V v2.03 compliance, so you can use it in a variety of situations and almost everywhere, with confidence.
ATX12V CompatibleCompatible with the ATX12V standard, the APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 power supply provides enhanced power stability to feed the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other system components.

Pros: Got some of these over the past few years and this current one is just as good as others proper power output and solid unit not poor quality at all if your wanting a budgetr build then this is a good PSU to get but it is not a high end users unit then invest money in PSU since that the one item that can kill your mobo faster than anything else other than lightining strike.
Cons: it is for budget builds not high end but htat why so much less expensive
Overall Review: one of the units we have gooten has been in computer for at least past 5 years and have had no problems with it running 3HDD 2 DVD burners 5 case fans and low end video card
