It depends on the driver installed. If you are running Win10, which is aggressive about updates. you should be fine. They just released 451.67 and the release notes mention Direct X 12

what is the maximum screen resolution of this card.  I have a nice monitor that can handle 2560 x 1440 resolution with a DVI dual cable.  I tried the lesser ASUS Nvidia1030 card and only got 1600 x 1200.  My 10 year old video card is 2560 x 1440.  WHAT GIVES?

This card handles 3840 x 2160 (4k) without a problem. However, running extremely taxing games at 4k will result in slow frame rates. This is a good budget card. I use it for 1080p gaming with max framerates
