Is the wifi card on this accessible if i wanted to replace it with another model?

No, the only thing that is removable is the antenna cables on the I/O. It's not like some of those mini itx mobos that you're thinking of.

it says it has 1 usb 2.0 that supports 2 usb 2.0 ports, but on asus' website it says it has 2 usb 2.0 headers, how does this work?

There is only 1 USB 2.0 hub. This was an issue cause I needed 1 for my front USB ports on my case and one for my corsair 110i. To solve this I routed the corsair wire outside the case and plugged it into the back of the motherboard.

Yes, but i dont really see the point in running a 960 EVO in any raid, you wont be able to perform enough task to hinder its speed and performance without RAID. Its just overkill and youre risking data failures by doing so.

How many USB 3.0 connectors does this mobo have?

My case has two (front panel) USB 3.0s and I am wondering if I can power them at all.

What liquid cooling rig is recommended to work with this MB?  I'm looking at a Corsair Hydro Series, H115i PRO but that is a self contained unit.  I don't see it being compatible with all the features this MB offers.

An AIO is perfectly fine if you want something better than air cooling, but don’t want to commit to a custom loop. The board will certainly accommodate something more robust, but it’s not at all necessary. I use the previous version of the H115i (the non-PRO version) on the Maximus X Code with no real issues. The board has dedicated headers for both AIO and a standard water pump, so you can choose either one. The main downside is the armor; even though it looks appealing, it almost completely encases the board and makes it difficult to route the unsightly wires from the Corsair AIO out of the way and keep them somewhat hidden.

What use is the Gen3 type 2 socket if there is no connection cable to use it? Does anyone have a cable that will fit the onboard connector and will that cable connect to any computer case now on the market?

the 3rd gen processor is a 1155 socket , and if you are meaning the power supply connector it is usually a 24 pin connector and most cases have wires that are marked that come from your power button and reset switches and if your trying to up grade your mother board you may have to get a processor

The kraken x62 says to connect it to a usb 2.0 header. Will the aio pump header be sufficient for this leaving the only 2.0 header for my front panel?

No, the aio headed is basically a fan header for the cooler. The USB header is still needed if your want to control the lighting and fan speeds etc through the cam software.

I have three fans for my 360mm AIO and another three case fans. Am I able to connect all six fans to my mobo without having to be a fan controller?

Yes, but you may need a splitter for a couple of them.  There is enough power in the connections to power 2 or 3 fans from the same connection (check your fan power requirements to verify).  The only catch is those fans would all run at the same speed as dictated by the motherboard.  So pair up the fans that are doing similar duty.

Can the M.2 ports on this motherboard support the read/write speeds of a 970 Evo Plus? (3.5GB Read 3.3GB Write)

The documentation just says is that the main port supports SATA and PCIE x4 and the second port supports PCIE x4 only. Does it mean PCIE3 x4? What speeds are these rated for exactly?

According to the tech specs, this is in reference to the M.2 slots as stated below:

"* When the M.2_1 Socket 3 is operating in SATA mode, SATA port 1 will be disabled.
** When the M.2_2 Socket 3 is operating in PCIe 3.0 x4 mode, SATA ports 5 and 6 will be disabled."

The PCIe slots you are referring to are different from the M.2 slots on the board and will be labeled M.2_1 and M.2_2 respectively.  You can plug your M.2 SSD into either slot and be able to use it, but if you want to know the exact supported speeds of the slots on the board I would recommend contacting Asus for that information as it is not listed on the item page I'm afraid.
