Decent projector

Pros: Very short thow lense
Able to be ceiling mounted
It looks nice wherever it's placed
-- It makes an Amazing picture on a 108" screen.
-- It's great that I can stand in front of the screen and not cast a shadow.

Cons: I haven't experienced any issues with this since I had it.

Overall Review: I really like this projector, I recommend it to anyone looking for a decent cheaper projector.

lamp life less than advertised.

Pros: Great price for the features listed

Cons: I didn't get to test all of the features as I only used it for an hour or less. I turned it on connected my hd box to it and watched a show and let it cool down and turned it off. Two days later I turn it on and the lamp button is red indicating replacement.

Overall Review: I wish I was able to try this projector out. Hopefully the rma will provide a replacement and then I can update this with more information.

Loved it but had issues.

Pros: some what light
very nice looking hardware
reasonably priced IMO!
Decent setting options
Bright display even on ECO mode
Comes w/a bag, not that I cared for one.
Huge screen w/clear picture 720p @ 60hz!
I was able to view the projector with lights on in my bedroom with no problem at all!

Cons: When going from a dark sky to daylight sky scene, the colors were wayyy too off! The dark scene was fine but when it switched to a daylight scene, the display would be way too bright even on ECO mode. Could have just been where I was sitting though. (could have probably found an option to turn that down as well.)

Got really hot right away for such short use!
Red lamp turned on after just using for 15 minutes, letting it rest for 5 and then turning it back on. It had to cool down so I had to wait. NOT Cool (no pun intended)

for some reason the input video started to flicker like crazy and I couldn't even change input's when this happened. I had to remove the HDMI and then I was able to get into settings or change sources. That was just too flaky but it only did it 2 x.

The biggest issue I had was that I could NOT get it to fit on any of my walls in my bedroom that was 9' x 18'. Other than placing the projector some where obtrusive from walking through the room.

Overall Review: This was my 2nd projector and I absolutely LOVED it, quality wise!
Although there was that video jittering issue that resolved itself!
I unfortunately was not able to mount this on my ceiling because the idiot architects that planned that part of the house put a flat roof! Had I been able to mount this on the ceiling and run wires through an attic, I would have absolutely kept it, or if I was able to get it to make the screen smaller with the manual zoom and move the projector further back. But that defeats the purpose of a "short throw" projector.

You have to have a PERFECT spot for this and about 5'-8' IMO would have been perfect.

Tried my Nexus 7 FHD, LG G Pad 8.3" and minix x7 as the sources and the pic just looked freak'n great!

Great Projector

Pros: I waited a few months before giving a review on this product to fully test everything out. The overall picture and quality of this projector is really amazing. Before making my purchase I was trying to decide between this projector which is a 720p or the BenQ 1080p projector that is this projectors brother. It was several hundreds of dollars more, so I asked myself is it really needed. For me I watch sports events like motorcycle racing, baseball, football, etc and all these events are showed in 720p. I play video games and they are displayed in 720p. The way a lot of current move aspect ratios are, the pixels between 1080p to 720p are the black bars, so I decided I could lose a small amount of pixels in a movie that was displaying if the active movie display area is something around 1,920x800. Also, this projector has more lumens than the BenQ 1080p ST.

I have a custom build projector screen that I build using Blackout Cloth and wood that has a screen size of around 165 inches. This projector can project up to 300 inches, but I can only account for the picture quality up to 165 inches.

The only area of this projector that I have not tested is 3D. I never got around to buying any glasses and I didn't buy this projector for the 3D capability. I do plan down the road to get a set of glasses, but it currently is not needed. From reviews that I read on this projector before my purchase, most reviewers said the 3D was very nice.

If you plan on building a custom screen I suggest mounting the projector first and get your desired screen size. This projector has a grid you can turn-on to figure out the actual screen display area. Use tape on all for corners and do some measuring. Make sure you have the same distance left to right and up and down. It may require some adjustments to get everything perfect. Do a final tape adjustment and you are now ready to take those measurements and build a screen.

Finally I would like to talk about the short throw feature. I wanted to get the projector as close as I could to the projecting wall, so people could move around the room without interrupting the screen. I had plenty of room to have a standard throw (30’ x 25’ room), but I took a few things into consideration. How much room will I need in my area to have people hang out and do I plan on playing games on this projector. My answer was yes to these questions so I decided on this projector. If you plan on playing games with a sensor (ex. Xbox Kinect) and have a large screen size, you will want a short throw projector. Gaming sensors required you to be a certain distance from the sensor and it is not very far back. I have my Xbox Kinect directly below my 165" screen and I am able to have 2 players stand directly in front of the screen and play without causing shadows on the screen. Also, my ceiling height is around 8 ft.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Projector fans can be loud because they are keeping the lamp cool. If you plan on using a projector for daily viewing, keep in mind you will hear the fan running at low listening volume.
