Can and where would I add in a extra fan?

An 80mm case fan will fit inside the case on the side opposite the power supply, but only if you move the HDD into the floppy drive bay and modify a couple of the grill-work holes to accomodate the fan. You'll also need a wire fan grill to keep wires out of the fan blades. If you use two hard drives, though, the case fan will have to be mounted outside the case.

I recommend considering another arrangement though, if you have pets or live in a dusty environment. I built a filtered air intake plenum that fits over the case fan, out of corrigated material, whether the fan is mounted inside or outside the case. The advantage of an air intake plenum is you can make the filtration medium as large as you want. If you go that route, be sure and mount the fan for intake air flow, thus applying slight positive pressure within the case so the only air going in will be filtered. Research the filtration medium you use, to achieve the best combination of air flow and particle filtration size. Best of luck with your case mod.

Question 2

I'm confused: when it says. "HTPC System with 3 Drive Bays Featuring an external 5.25" drive bays and two 3.5" drive bays (one external and one internal)".
What does the external mean? the drives sit outside the case?
I want to install (1) SSD drive and (1) 2tb 3.5" drive. can that be done? (confused on the external part).

The "external" bay is internal... There's a 5.25" drive bay that's for a CD/DVD drive - its opening is on the front-top (the CD drive pushes open a door - that's what they mean by "external"). A 3.5" drive bay is below the 5.25" bay (front-middle with a rectangle removable panel for a 3.5" floppy). There's a door just below the 3.5" panel to access USB ports. A second 3.5 drive can be mounted on an internal side rail hanging from two screws (it's really not a bay). The second 3.5 drive will block some air flow from the case side air holes. The mounting holes will have to be elongated to fit a 3.5 HDD (not difficult to do). I have two of these cases; it's a tight fit - but it doesn't over heat. I installed a Blu-Ray RW drive in the 5.25" bay and 2 HDD in the 3.5" bay/rail spots.

is this vesa mountable?

Haven't tried it because it's bulky but at same time not so much that I minded having it on my desk since I was able to stack stuff on it. Should add that none had actually crapped out after a year of use. Can't decide if it was power supply or motherboard

Question 4

Did you include a heat sink in your build? If so, which did you use? Using a mini-its motherboard, and an AMD A6 I'm concerned about heat in the small space.

I didn't include any extra heatsinks or fans. Just what came in the box with my processor, which was a small fan that sits atop the CPU. Even that is a tight squeeze, to be honest. I've got two HDDs and a DVD drive, and the cables just barely have clearance behind the fan without bending too much. The computer does get rather warm with extended use, as I originally had it set up so that it would be on all the time (so I could access it remotely), but since I've changed the power settings to put it to sleep after a while, it's much cooler.

Just install the fan properly, and make sure it doesn't stay on 24/7/365 and you should be good to go.

Does the power supply have the 1 x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector?

I have several for over  6 years keep buying them.

No.  It has the 24pin main that splits into 20 & 4;  4pin 12v for processor,  and sata, floppy and old 4pin peripheral connectors.   Very nice case in the classic black way.  Great value.  The only negatives are headroom for large heat sinks and the front panel is still at USB 2.0.

the power supply comes with the case?

It does.  It's only a small 250W power supply though.  If you're looking to make a small form factor gaming rig, you would need to order a seperate PSU with enough wattage to support whatever video card you have.  I got this for a media center build so the 250W was just fine.

Question 7

I bought a normal DVD drive with the parts does not fit. What type DVD drive and what models do fit this case?

A regular CD/DVD drive should fit fine; take off the plastic face plate of the case (four tabs - be gentle) then slide the CD/DVD drive in from the front.  Note that the eject button for the case has a slide-able gray tab so you can line it up with the button on your CD/DVD drive.  After you mount the drive and put the face plate back on - open the case drive door with your finger and look down and to the right - slide the button so it is right in front of CD/DVD drive button.

I don't know the answer to your question exactly, but I will say that it won't be a large card. The case is CRAMPED, even without one.

My hands aren't small, so I had trouble fitting everything, even though I have a combined CPU/GPU.

250w.   ATX 24 pin, CPU 4 Pin.  Has 2 SATA plugs.  4 or 5 standard molex (which I never use in these cases).

I typically always add a fan to the case on the side opposite of the drive bay, and have it blow out.  Keeps the unit quite cool.
