When I purchased this model I had to confirm if it was compatible with a model. I contacted Lenovo Sales to confirm. I don't want to give you bad advice so I would recommend contacting them to be sure.

No. The ThinkPad Edge E545 does NOT have a dock connector. Consider using a USB3 connected Dock / Port Replicator such as the Lenovo 4X10A06687 Thinkpad Essential Usb 3.0 Dock (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0B1-00EP-00015&cm_re=lenovo_dock-_-0B1-00EP-00015-_-Product).

It works for my 460S and it worked for the computer I had before this one (cant remember the model). I am assuming most lenovo's have the same inputs underneath. Realize this one does not have a place for speaker plug. I probably would have preferred the upgrade that does.
