Does the doc support running HDMI & VGA displays simultaneously?

Believe so. It states in the manual all the different combinations that work together - I use two HDMI monitors for mine.

Question 2

I just bought this product for my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop and it works.  I have 2 questions:
1) Why is there a computer icon by the Thunderbolt port in the back; is there some reason why I cannot plug my laptop into the front port?
2) My wife has a Mac; can this doc be used with a Mac?

Thunderbolt 3 is a superset of USB-C.  You can plug thunderbolt 3 into a USB-C on the front of the docking station and it will work, but NOT get the speeds you're looking for.  If you want the daisy chaining of monitors and/or gigabit ethernet, you'll need to use the Thunderbolt 3 / computer port on the back of the hub.

And using a USB-C cable between computer and the computer port on the hub will not get you thunderbolt 3 speeds either.  I must use a true thunderbolt 3 cable between computer and hub.

Question 3

There is no picture of the back. What are the type and number of ports provided on the back of the device?

The back has 10 ports plus 1 power. In front/back total, "The Thunderbolt 3 dock offers two DisplayPort ports, HDMI, VGA, five USB 3.0 ports with one of these always powered, Gigabit Ethernet, headset jack, and a Thunderbolt 3 port over USB-C, meaning you won’t lose your USB-C port when docking with this."  You can find images online of the back.

Question 4

Will this work with a Dell XPS 9570 laptop?

It should, my wife has the 13”, 9370?, and has had no issues whatsoever.
