I have a monitor with VGA or DV-I capability only.  Will this work with this docking station?

The docking station has an HDMI output and a Display Port output. In order to use a second external monitor (or a DVI or VGA), you will need to purchase a separate Display Port to HDMI or Display Port to DVI adapter or Display Port to VGA adapter. Bottom line, you can connect one HDMI monitor out of the box but would need to purchase an adapter to connect an additional monitor. (DVI, HDMI or VGA)

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 which has a touch screen.  Does this docking station support an external touch screen monitor?

I don't know, but would be interested in feedback from other users on this point, as well-
It does have multiple USB 3 ports and DP/DVI video inputs, and has performed quite well in an office setting-

Can this be used with laptops that are not Lenovo? I have an HP.

you could use it for port replication but it wouldnt charge an HP.  You would be better off with a StarTech or Wavlink port replicator.  Or just buy the docking station specifically for your model HP so it can charge also.
