Exquisite Open-Back Design for Authentic Sound
An acoustic open-back architecture eliminates air pressure build-up behind the driver, giving the diaphragm greater freedom of movement. This greatly enhances sound transparency and smoothens extended high frequencies.
Angled Drivers Align Perfectly with Your Ear
Engineered to fit the ear's natural geometry, the ear-shells offer precise and accurate sound. Audio signals are directly channeled into the ears, creating a dynamic and authentic listening experience.
Pros: Super clean sound BIG pads - my ears fit all the way inside, so they don't smash my ears on my glasses They don't clamp like a vise grip - I have a fairly large head, and they're plenty big
Cons: They're a little bit bass-shy - especially out of the box (MUCH better after 50+ hours of burn-in) DO NOT get these if you're looking for cans that jump off your head - even after burning in, they're not bass-heavy AT ALL They can fall off easily
Overall Review: I can't afford $300+ headphones, so if you're looking for a comparison to super high-end cans, I'm afraid I can't oblige. Anyway, I'll just start with post-burn-in: these cans sound fantastic. They have a very clean, clear sound. No mud from bass, and the highs don't grate or sound tinny. They're open-back, which is good and bad. Everyone around you can hear what you're listening to if they're very loud, but at high volume you feel how much less pressure there is on your ears compared to closed-back cans. The sound stage is HUGE (which, of course, is the point of open-back phones). One thing I've found with them is that I can HEAR the bass notes in everything even though I maybe don't feel them. Bass response is, again, fairly light, but you can hear it all. I used to be a bit more of a basshead, but these cans sound really full without all the head-shaking bass. If you need a bit more bass response, an amp with some bass boost helps considerably. They respond well to that bump (they don't just sound louder but crappier like some phones when they're amped). Bottom line - I love them!
