The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk external drive STAC3000101 delivers high-capacity storage with an illuminated capacity gauge, automatic continuous backup and encryption for all your files with an ultra-fast, plug–and–play USB 3.0 connectivity. It works interchangeably between a PC and Mac computer and stands in either a vertical or horizontal orientation to complement any desktop environment.
USB 3.0 InterfaceSuperSpeed USB 3.0 delivers up to 5Gbps bandwidth which is around 10 times the bandwidth of the current USB 2.0, allowing for ultra-fast transfers of high definition movies and videos, as well as various other large capacity file formats. USB 3.0 drive is also backward compatible with PC’s USB 2.0 ports.
Automatic BackupThe Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk external drive offers automatic, continuous backup of your data, and secures your backed up files to protect your privacy with powerful encryption software. Included Seagate Dashboard management tool allows for easy management of backup schedules, file encryption, and at–a–glance drive statistics.
Works Interchangeably on both PC and MacWhether you have a PC or a Mac computer–or if you go back and forth between the two – you can access and save files on the same portable hard drive anytime without reformatting. (Reformatting to HFS+ is required to use backup software for Mac or Time Machine software.)
