Nice case 3/1/2019 5:03:29 PM

Pros: The lay out seems good.
Light but still sturdy enough.
Nice size not overly big but big enough.
Easy to control air flow so it comes in through the filters.

Cons: Without modification not enough air flow. That's the reason for taking an egg off.

Overall Review: I modified the case by cutting a 4.5" x 6.5" hole in the front and put window air conditioner filter over the hole and covered it with black mash. Along with an addition of an 80 mm case fan this lowered the case temperature by 10 C overall. Now it has very good air flow and it's all filtered air.

Silverstone impresses again 12/13/2018 7:43:42 AM

Pros: -Excellent build quality for the price. Not absolutely high end, but extremely good and way cheaper than anything else with decent build quality and all of the other features.
-Many fan/airflow options for good positive pressure, dust filtration configurations. They really did a great job here offering so many options and putting the fans in the right places. I'm extremely thorough when planning airflow so that there is good cooling and positive pressure dust filtration. My builds have run for years with little to no dust build up inside the case. This case is perfect for this kind of build and that's the main reason I bought this case. Just don't forget to get a decent filter for all input fans. The mesh filters never do anything to keep dust out. I buy sheets of polyester air filter and secure it to the case using adhesive backed velcro. Works great!
-Very versatile. Easy to modify or move parts to accommodate a wide variety of installs. I easily fit a Powercolor Red Devil RX570 by removing the useless 3.5" drive bay and that card is a full 12" long!
-Easily fit the Silverstone AR07 140mm cooler which is a beast of a cooler for an excellent price. Silverstone customer service told me that it wouldn't fit but I did my research and thought it would fit so I took a chance and it easily fits with plenty of room to spare. Truly a great combination for a very cool running system.
-Lots of room and options for wiring. Allows for a nice clean build which keeps the mess of wires out of the airflow. Awesome.
-Great customer service. I was able to call them and talk to someone who was knowledgeable and willingly helpful.

Cons: -Only real con I can think of is that there is no extra support built in for super long heavy gfx cards. But that can easily be addressed with some creativity or by purchasing a support to address this. But this is not a fault. Very few (if any?) cases include these. I simply used a zip strip tied to the 5.25" drive bay to take some of the weight of the gfx card.

Overall Review: I've been building PCs for 20 years. I don't shop in the high end but I can't stand super cheap junk. I (like most of us) want decent quality at a reasonable price. We usually don't need all of the extra features and bells and whistles or really high end build quality. We just need good standard features, versatility and decent build quality. The PS11 (and Silverstone in general) really delivers in spades. Yes there's better cases out there but you'll pay a lot more for them and what you'll get for the money is rarely worth it.

Silverstone really nails the sweet sport for budget conscious builders, gamers and enthusiasts. They are one of the few companies that make a real effort at the perfect compromise between quality and affordability. Most companies act like either price is no object or price is the only object and that's just lazy thinking and marketing on their part. Most of us don't need a $75+ case but most cases under $75 have serious limitations or build quality issues. Not in this case (pun).

I can't get over how pleased I am in general with Silverstone. I strongly recommend that they be considered whenever possible..

Fun white micro ATX case 3/9/2018 4:05:35 PM

Pros: I can mount multiple hard drives with good cooling. People in general like a slightly smaller case. The white is a nice change of pace. I own two and use them with my very best hardware. Removable front air filter. Good air flow. Second front80-mm fan is a breeze. Good clearance between CPU cooler and rear 92-mm fan.

Cons: I adapt for the lack of front panel USB 2.0. I have a couple of ways around when USB 3.0 is not on my old motherboard.

Overall Review: I can't understand why this is not more popular; not still showing on Newegg.

Surprising Good Steely 1/25/2018 6:17:00 AM

Pros: - Good build quality, specially for a steely.
- Really good wire management at the price point.
- Easy hardware installation. Specially for the HDDs and SSDs.
- Plenty of room for HDDs, SSDs, and ODDs. I filled up all space available.
- Mountings for plenty of fans.

Cons: Though not a deal breaker, some issues are present.
- Side panels aren't easy to install with the case upright, requiring laying the system over for less frustration.
- Power button is just a plastic tab over the trigger.
- The integrated side panel thumbscrews can be a little aggravating at times.

Overall Review: For a 50$, this is actually one of the better steely cases I've gotten. Even compared to some more expensive steelies I've purchased in the past... looking at you Chieftec/Ultra. The case felt really sturdy and durable and reasonably modern standards. All-in-all, was a good case for my intended build, repurposing a 10 year old gaming rig into a video encoding rig.

Poor quality and not very quiet (as advertised) 1/13/2018 11:43:37 AM

Pros: The one nice thing about this case is that there appears to be no sharp edges on the metal parts inside the case, and is packaged well in its retail box.

Cons: There are quite a few negatives about this case, which are listed out below.

1) The front panel is a extremely poor fit for the case. The front panel does not sit flush against the rest of the case and is noticeably higher than the other metal chassis. This is very annoying to see on my desk and have a large gap just sticking out.

2) Why would Silverstone think that less than a half inch gap between the front 120 mm fan and the inside of the front bezel would provide adequate airflow to the case. There are three different size fans in this case as well, but that doesn't come close to the bad design of airflow for the front fan. This is also because the fan is mounted outside of the case, when I originally bought this case I thought it would be mounted inside and if that were the case then there would have been enough room for proper airflow.

3) The expansion slot retention system is very poor design, and anytime that you have one of those horrible retention brackets that need to be installed to keep the any expansion cards in place they are prone to wiggle.

4) There is room for longer graphics cards, but the horribly designed hard drive bracket makes no sense as to why it extends from the top to the bottom of the case when the bottom half of it is unusable.

5) There is no room for cable management

6) The side panels did not look that hideous on Newegg but seeing them in person... Those weird finger grips on the side are not as deep as they appeared in the marketing pictures and are pretty much useless in person. They are also very flimsy.

7) Even though this case is marketed as a quiet case it is no more quiet than any other case I've owned. Even with the foam on the side panels this case is too loud.

I suppose that I could have deduced many of the issues by simply examining the pictures via Newegg more closely, but I wanted to see if Silverstone was any good since it was my first purchase of their products.

Overall Review: There is one good thing and that is Silverstone did not include their logo on the front bezel and included it in the bag of hardware.
