How's the plex server performance? Can this transcode?

This device can not transcode. You can transcode into the format you need to view on mobile devices from your main plex server. I used this when traveling and want to carry more movies than I can on a single mobile device. Performance was great allowing to watch 2 movies at the same time on seperate devices.
