Pretty new on computers, most advanced thing i've done is update drivers or install an os. Do i need to buy anything else in order to get this to work as RAID?

You need at least two similar, preferably the same model and size. You need your power supply to have cables and enough power; a drive cage and space to attach them. Finally, software or hardware based RAID setup. Better study it first. Disks may last longer than SSD’s, but are never as fast, by 10x or mor more, eap in a RAID config!
