Is more than 16 GB a waist?

It depends on what you are using it for. A lot of multitasking (e.g. having 20 googles chrome tabs open) might be faster if you have 32GB, or if you don't have a dedicated video card. But generally for simple gaming, web browsing etc. anything over 16GB is not going to be utilized as effectively. I only have 16GB and can run multiple programs in the background while gaming without any issues

Currently i have Model CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 install i want to increase my ram, can i have a 2x8gb and 2x16gb ram installed together?

Unadvisable. You have to make sure the timing chain is the same between pairs. If you want to ensure stability, buy a single set of sticks that are packaged together, e.g. if you need 64gb of ram, buy a single set of 4x16 or 8x8. Case in point, i have 3 different(same model) 2x8 kits in my rig, and ive had to reduce my overclocks to find some stability. TLDR, you could but no guarentee you wont spend 100s of hours trying to find stability in your bios system setup.

Can I pair a 3200 mhz one with a 3000 mhz one?

How do you tell if these ram sticks are compatible for certain motherboards?

If the motherboard manufacturer's support web page specifies this particular memory stick, I'm confident that it will work properly.

Does this RAM work with a MSI Z-370 Motherboard?

This RAM is supported in 300 chipsets and would most likely will work, BUT 
You should always check the manufacturer's supported memory list and try to purchase one from their list for 100% support. First Find the MSI support page for the specific motherboard you are looking at, and you should find some reference sheet that lists all the supported memory that has been tested successfully on it. In my experience even if the memory isn't on the list it doesn't mean that it won't work, it just means that they won't guarantee that it works 100%. Take the safe route and order memory after ordering a mobo and make sure it's on the list.

Will this work with the Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3 Motherboard at full (3200) speed?

It should but it looks like it only "officially" supports one stick. if you do a google search for that motherboard on the gigabyte site on the support page you can download the memory support pdf.

Question 7

Is this Samsung B-Die, or is it Hynix? I just bought a MSI X370 Gaming Pro and I'm getting very confused as to which RAM I need to get to 3200. MSI QVL has this as supported at 3200 for Ryzen, but I keep hearing a lot of talk about Samsung vs Hynix.

I'm sorry I can't tell you that. I sold the rig it was in. However, it's very good ram. I also had Vengeance DDR4 3000 ram, and when a BIOS update on my PC had issues with it Corsair swapped it out for DDR4 2800mhz Dominator at my request (that ram has a 3000mhz enthusiast XMP). You should call Corsair for specifics on their ram, and my opinion is have confidence in the company.

Another way to put this is how come this one is more expensive than the other options of 3200 DDR4?  If it had faster numbers, I'd understand but it doesn't seem "special", so... why is this ram special?
