Compatible with ASRock B450 Pro4 and 2700X? Hoping to run this 2x16GB pair now, then add another pair later. Their QVL seems quite limited for 4x16GB.

I do not have that specific combination, but, i can tell you this..
I purchased this ram to go with an Asus z390-E Gaming MB. I put the ram in the MB in the slots 2 and 4 as the MB manual said to do. It would not work. I called Asus and they said the ram was not on the QVL and i should contact Newegg about a return. Since the ram was not defective and it was my lack of research that was the issue, i could not return the RAM without paying penalties (If i could return at all). I decided to ignore Asus and proceeded to place the ram into slots 1 and 2 (Which Asus said would not work) However, the MB then proceeded to boot. Unfortunately the RAM was only recognized at 2400Mhz in stead of 3200Mhz. At this point i went ahead and installed my OS's and decided to settle for the lower speed instead of paying for new ram. Now, I knew that the architecture of the ram was standard (DDR4) so the lower speed was nagging at me. After verifying that the UEFI/BIOS was fully up to date I proceeded to change the XMP profile in the UEFI, and lo and behold, after saving and rebooting my ram was recognized at 3200Mhz and the full 32GB. (This was an automatic profile, I did not have to manually define parameters) SO, short answer, if you feel lucky, go for it, but remember that your return is not valid on this type of call. Also, even though your particular MB manual may say use only slots 2 and 4  for ram, this only matters if the RAM is QVL for your particular MB.

Short answer, if you already purchased the RAM, try some basic tricks to get it working, if not, safest to stick to QVL, which i consider 88% marketing and not an actual limiting factoring due to commonality in the DDR4 architecture. Good luck and clearly understand your return/exchange policies before purchasing anything.
Note, I only have the 2 DIMMs installed, have not expanded to 64Gigs yet

All you have to do is put the memory stick into an empty slot or if you need to take it out, you have to open the safety hatch to easily take it out. Just don't use different types of RAM sticks, as I've heard that it'll make your computer run slower.

Will this RAM work in a ASRock X570 Pro Mobo with an AMD YP160BBAFBOX (allegedly Pinnacle Ridge) CPU?  Apparently both the Mobo & CPU impose RAM limitations.
