does this include a USB To SATA Cable?

No it does not, it  will plug into your existing cables in the computer but you will need a cord or dock to clone it with your current drive.

Is this just good for increasing boot times, or does it also increase loading times in games? Thanks.

Yes - this is a very fast SSD drive.  My total time from power up to the display of the windows 7 logon screen averages about 15 seconds. I use about 21% of the drive and write all windows temp files to another hard disk and also other apps that write data including all my downloads to the hard disk.  I am not a gamer, so I can't answer the second part of the question.

Will this unit fit in a laptop?

Greetings.  This will fit in any laptop that uses traditional 2.5" laptop hard drives.  just remember to attach the provided 9.5mm adapter so the SSD fits as a normal 2.5" hard drive.  You just replace the hard drive with this solid state drive.

Question 4

No one mentioned anything about Migration Tools. I would assume all SSDs come with it, but a rating or mention of the tools ease of use or lack there of would help?

No, not all SSD's come with migration tools. As a matter of fact, few do. Migration isn't a preferred method. Transferring all the contents without installing programs may lead to problems. It is best to do a fresh operating system install for best performance. That is why you are purchasing a solid state drive in the first place.

Does this come with any cloning software?

No it does not.  Mine was just the bare drive.  Although, I believe you can download free cloning software off of the internet, but I wouldn't suggest that with all malware that comes with stuff like that.  You are probably better off purchasing a cloning kit which would include the proper cables and software you'll need.  Or if you purchase a Toshiba SSD, as I did for my Toshiba laptop, it came with the software, cables for cloning and a mounting adapter for desktops.

Does it come with cloning software? If not, how much for the install package?

It does not come with that.  I bought a data transfer kit from Crucial that includes the software and SATAwire to USB hardware dongle.  I don't recall what I paid for it.

Does this drive come with the 3.5 in nounting bracket?

This does not come with a 3.5 mounting bracket. you'll either need the one that came with your case (depending on the case) or a lot of people Velcro it to an area behind the cable management area.

Question 8

Is this SSD backwards-compatible with SATA II?  The Crucial website says it's compatible with my HP HPE-410f, but I noticed it is a SATA III SSD.  Thanks.

I am using this one in a SATA-3 (6Gb/s) system but I have several other SATA-3 SSDs that I am using in SATA-2 (3Gb/s) systems and have never had a problem with compatibility. The performance will not be as good but still about 4x better than a spinning platter hard drive. You should see about 270GB/Sec read/write speeds using the ATTO benchmark.

how to you mount this? it is 2.5" and most computer case only have slot for 3.5" hard drive.

A 2.5 inch drive is mounted to the 3.5 bay by purchasing an adapter that allows the purchaser to attach the 2.5 drive to the 3.5 adapter with screws tightened into the screw slots on the bottom or sides of the 2.5 drive.
After this the 3.5 adapter can be mounted into the 3.5 bay.

Here is an inexpensive adapter sold on Newegg; Rosewill RDRD-11004 2.5" SSD / HDD Mounting Kit for 3.5" Drive Bay.

You can also purchase them with cooling fans and other additional enhancements, such as, the Rosewill RDRD-11003 2.5" SSD / HDD Mounting Kit for 3.5" Drive Bay w/60mm Fan.

Question 10

Does this model come with 2.5 mounting bracket for internal 2.5" drive bay?

Does not come with a "mounting bracket" only comes with a "spacer" for use in 9mm systems.  However, it should fit in any bracket that is currently used in a notebook as was the case in my several years old Compaq laptop.  Keep in mind that this may not fit in some newer Ultra Book type systems.
