Excellent
Pros: The case is everything I hoped it would be, industrial style, and big. Love the big fans and the alternative fan configuration possibilities. A really sturdy case that survived shipping.
Cons: I gave it 4 stars because of the packing and the condition of the box. The case is packed front up with absolutely no protection for the front. Mine arrived with a corner seam (on time thanks Newegg) split the height of the box. It looked to me as if the box had been re-taped. I'm astonished that there was absolutely no damage to the case. The styrofoam inserts protecting the bottom and top of the case were both broken from the rough handling.
Plastic Case Broken
Pros: Powers up, shows 3.63 tb available, quiet operation, transfers data
Cons: Caused my 16gb i7 64-bit Win 8.1 Pro system to shutdown when I first plugged the drive into a USB port. The plastic case is separating at the seam near the bottom of the unit on one side right out of the box. There's no way it would have passed quality control had the drive been physically inspected. The data transfer rate is less than stellar but it was a bargain price.
Overall Review: I'm returning it. I don't want a unit with a case broken out of the box.
Great Enclosure Except
Pros: Solid case Drive mount and electronics end cap solid Worked out of the box
Cons: The connector isn't the micro-usb connector that quality external 2.5" drive enclosures are sporting these day. It's a full size USB 2.0 connector. The proof is the 'what's in the box' photograph. It works but requires a cable with full sized USB connectors on both ends. Deducting a star for that. I didn't want to be carrying another cable with me.
Not Ready for PrimeTime
Pros: Construction and Design Connector locations.
Cons: Everything mentioned by N/A from the overly sensitive touchpad to the IR Blaster and it just wouldn't work with my Cisco DVR even with different control codes and possible model number alternatives suggested by my cable provider. Setup was not easy and took far too long. I didn't appreciate HBO Go just being a shortcut to the browser. I gave it the week as I really wanted the Cube to work for me. It doesnt.
Overall Review: This is the first Asus product I've been disappointed with. That list includes 4 laptops, a netbook, 9 motherboards, and a Nexus 7 tablet. I'm returning it. Newegg accepted the RMA with no issues.
Awesome Card
Pros: I've had this card about a month upgrading from a Sapphire 4850. It's an awesome card, handles everything I throw at it, and I finally can use 3 monitors for my photographic work. I had a problem that my 24" monitor was blanking out with the old 4850 card. I knew it wasn't a problem with the monitor. The monitor blanking has vanished with this Sapphire card. This card is big but fits in my Cooler Master HAF932 case jusr fine.
Cons: None
Work Great
Pros: It burns and reads cd's and dvd's just fine.
Cons: The included USB cable is too short to be useful.
