Has most of the bells and whistles you are looking for for a new build utilizing a 9800x3d. Double USB-C port on the back was what made me move in this direction as opposed to the similarly priced LiveMixer B850. Many M.2 slots will make future expansion a breeze.
Really smart mobo, excellent materials, i loved that it has 2 nvme ports, totally recommended
-Nice heatsink -Built in I/O shield
-Lots of I/O -Fits great in my case -Easy to update bios -Great for the price -Bios is easy to get around
This is a new design of the B650 board similar look at MSI Z790A MAX WIFi, a great MB., I used it to pair with the newAMD9600x perfect! Has all the function/ efficiency i need . Good Price too, Fall into a nice budget build.,
Plenty of slots for NVME drives A real premium feel that can be felt when handling the board quick easy mounting NVME drives Quality heatsinks for NVMEs and VRMs Simple bios for new builders and more in depth for veterans and some fun leds that can be disabled in the bios beautifully design and looks great in white build
Has worked fine for the moment I got it, swapped out a 2700x but I put an originally for a 5700x3d. It has really worked flawlessly since the day I got it.
It was very easy to setup, the BIOS comes with an easy mode to toggle, has a nice color and sleek design to it.
- Design, I like the all black design and heat spreaders keeping it minimal. - b850, comes with newer features like pcie 5.0, gen 5 storage, and 9000 series support - wifi, always a plus and personally I always prefer the attachable antenna instead of the little tower with a wire some motherboards use - 8 usb on back, more that enough for my peripherals - pcie 16x location, for my specific matx case, I wanted the pcie lane for the gpu to be at its highest so there would not be a extra slot between the cpu cooler and gpu - dual motherboard display output, helped me a lot when I was out a gpu and needed to use my computer with integrated graphics. -Bios, very user friendly, easy to tune ram and cpu
Works unlike the last terrible Gigabyte motherboard I bought here.
LOTS OF USB PORTS
- Lots of convenient features like spring latched M.2 heat sink, snap-in WiFi antennae - Chipset worked out of the box on ubuntu and relatively easy updating for Windows 11 - No Clearance when using Arctic Freezer III AIO - Aesthetically pleasing, plenty of aRGB headers
Reasonable price, has THREE M.2 slots (1 gen5 and 2 gen4) and it doesnt waste board costs on a PCIe 5.0 GPU Slot (there are no GPUs with PCIe 5 connectivity, and there wont be for several yearsits needless added cost). This has all the features you want from the AM5 platform and none of the absurd extra ones. It has an Intel Ethernet Chip which is awesome - usually AMD boards get Realtek ones. The Gen5 M.2 slot has an active heatsink with a little tiny fan (those are supposed to get super hot). If youre using gen4 or below you can probably get away with turning it off, which can be done in the BIOS.
BUILT in heatsink for ssd, easy to intall ram and GPU as well. RGB motherboard Easy to navigate BIOS WIFI 7 bluetooth 5.3
Honestly, I purchased this product due to its small form factor and numerous features. Its a bit overkill for what I need but its great. I was worried the HIVE may not have been a good idea but its a niche novelty. The light features during boot allows for quicker troubleshooting(assuming you can remember what each color means without looking it up each time LOL) and ports allow quick input for external usb-based storage and peripherals.
This is pretty much as good as it gets. Yes, there are teething issues with WRX90 because it's such a new platform, but once you get past those, the board has been rock solid.
- Price - Its X870 with pci-e 5.0 - Its has wifi - BIOS falshback - Matches my ASUS PRIME 5070 ti.
I love the features and temps. The bios interface is easy to use. No instability with pbo or smt with 6000mhz and 7800x3d.
Easy to install Smooth sailing from first time power up
