Way more than I need

It has been a long, long wait for a modern cpu that don't cost an arm and a leg. I had a Ryzen 7 1800 that went belly up last winter. Finding a replacement cpu was difficult last winter. And very pricey. I ended up with a Ryzen 3 2200G to get by on. It works OK, but is slower. It wasn't cheap either. Last week I read an article, and it had a link to buy a Ryzen 7 5700G. I jumped on it. While I have a video card, I wanted the option for the built in Vega graphics. Just in case. I haven't tested the performance of the GPU part of this processor since I just swapped it out for the Ryzen 3 2200G. I had some issues getting past the bios screen. I have a MSI x470 Gaming Plus MB, and was happy to see the 5700G on the white list. But the bios was as far as I could get when I rebooted. I found out the fix via forums, in the advanced settings in the bios, change UEFI to CSM, that will change the boot from UEFI to UEFI LEGACY mode. After that the cpu booted into windows 10 properly. Once I got the fans running the way I wanted, I tried a game, Civ 6. I was quite impressed on how fast the game loaded, and cycled through the turns. This was a huge leap over what I had. I tried the Game boost mode via the MSI MB, the clock went from 3800 mhz to 4600 mhz, it was running a bit hot. But it's good up to 95 C, and I was at 72 c. I decided the normal mode was fast enough since it automatically jumps to 4.6 ghz on it's own. The temperatures stays at 35 at idle, hitting up to 61 C playing Doom Eternal. Game play was fluid with the 570rx video card. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the performance and the flexibility of having the option to not have a video card, they can fail. It's a lousy time to do diy pc building/repair. I was happy to get what I got when I could!

Very powerful chip even though I have undervolted the thing to a previous generation it is sitting at all core 6.0ghz on the pcores 4.6ghz on the ecores 5.1ghz on the ring ratio and its eith a -0.1 undervolt. LLC 5 and AC/DC LL calibrated she sits at 1.3v on vid/core/vcore netting a 42950k in cinnebench r23. @ max package temp of 88c and average of 70c. Gaming she never exceeds 50c anyways....this was merely a simple OC ram is also now set from 7200MT to 7800MT could possibly get 8000 if I were to try.

Included stock cooler performs more than adequately for this. Great gaming performance Strong enough multi-threaded performance for my use case.

It works! Installed it into my new pc set up without any difficulties. Booted up normally and now I just got a terrific deal.

Upgraded from the 8700k, call me crazy but yeah I did it! Temperatures for all cores at idle same as the 8700k, cooled by a Corsair H115i Pro, after an hour or 2 of BFV all core temperatures hover around the 40-43C mark! Worth the upgrade? Yeah, for crazy people like me who need to scratch that upgrade itch!

Works great and functions great with the b580 Intel ARC. Have had Zero issues with this cpu and it was a great sale. Unfortunately, I already had BF6, and I wasnt really that interested in the rest of the games, but I grabbed shadows. the issue I have with the free game is that theyre all connected to some account. Like Ubisoft account or a 2k account so on. Does take a bit of setup and time to get the game. The cpu its self sits around 34-36 idle on YouTube but I also have a really small ATX case with only two fans. so its probably closer to low 30s in TEMP. If youre wondering I have a TK-1 Jonsbo Case. This Intel 245kf cpu, an Intel arc b580. 5600mghz of ddr5 ram G skill. And a asus intel only motherboard. With a thermal right grand vision AIO. This cpu would also pair great with a 5060 or 5070.

Works great, fast, better than anything before it, defiantly better than AMD Ryzpoogen.
