I have been using these amps for over 20 years never blew a Output Final to this day. The only thing I have ever had to do is replace TR6 a BF199 Receive Transistor. The Maximum Current Draw I have ever seen the Unit Draw is 8 Amps and that is Surge Amps normal Draw is 5-6 Watts - a 12 Amp power Supply will handle with no problem.
