As expected there were no issues. Set-up was quick and fast.
came new in box, works great
Great Gaming Performance Easy Overclocking and Boost Power Efficient Doesnt run hot
Works perfectly as expected. Games great, does everything else great. Perfect processor.
Relatively cheap, runs cool, latest Zen architecture, games
- I am using an air cooler, and the system runs very quiet and smooth. - Cinebench R23 easily passes 35,000 multicore and 2,271 single-core without overclocking
Less power draw, lower temps, better frame rates, then 7700x. Seems better than outgoing model my opinion.
After I bought this, a friend asked how much faster the 14700k is in comparison to his older Core i5-6500. Since I have overclocked and non-overclocked scores for a 6600k saved to the CPU-Z database, I was able to check. In the CPU-Z v.17 benchmark a 6th Gen i5 or i7 typically scores around 450 to 500 in the single-core benchmark, and the i5 scores somewhere around 1500 to maybe 2000 in the multithreaded benchmark, depending on the clock frequency and XMP. The 14700k on the other hand scores around 900 points in the single-core benchmark and around 14500 in the multithreaded benchmark. It's really amazing to see how much better these late Raptor Lake processors are in comparison to all of these 14nm Skylake based processors. I still have an i5-6600k that can hit 4.8GHz with the RAM tuned at 3000MT/s and it scores around 500 points in the CPU-Z single-core benchmark, and about 2000 points in the multithreaded score. I'm using this with an Asus board and the SP scores are a bit above average. I think the combined SP score is around 78 and the MC SP score is 76.
Its fast and cheap
At 369$ best CPU for the money.
Does everything as 5800x but faster thanks to higher clock speed, Zen 4 tech and DDR5 speed.
TL;DR 5.7ghz single core six cores 5.1, six cores 5.2 full load. PPT 145 watt CO -30 Ambient 26c Noctua DH15 max 82c CBR23 MC 29335, SC 2053 Asrock X670E Taichi 1.09 Ive been waiting for this since it was said X370 would not support 5000 series. Although it can be now, theres no reason for me to invest in old tech. Im very happy with my purchase. I know its expensive, but ive waited long enough. If i keep waiting, thats all I'll be doing. Of course if the X370 supported the 5000 series at launch like it was suppose to, I could have upgraded 2 years ago and waited on 7000X3D. Se La Vie. Coming from Ryzen 1700 non X / EVGA 1080 ti FTW3.
-Fast -Great OC capability -Great synergy with AMD products
Get the high speed when you need it otherwise doesn't draw too much power when just web browsing. Getting the higher frame rates in Madden 25 and NBA 2K 25 without needing to use 100% CPU. Boh games around 70% CPU usage now compared to 13400.
I got this item on sale, and it is an amazing upgrade for anyone with older Am4 setup. This runs significantly cooler than my 9700k, and even comes with a cooler. I did not use the included cooler, but it was a nice touch that makes the value even better.
processor go vroom vroom
Stunned by how strong the integrated graphics chip is. Games run on par or better (depending on title) than a heavily overclocked 7600k/GTX1070 system, without a GPU installed. And it has an easy 50% overclock headroom. Installed an assortment of 30+ games so far, no issues or crashes at all. Temps are barely over 40C when gaming. (Remnant II)
It's a CPU and works like it should. As always, Newegg delivers fast and are reliable.
Fast CPU at a Great New Egg price
Fast and optimal for multitasking.
