I was able to boot with a i7 14700 out of the box which surprised me. I was able to update the BIOS with an "unsupported CPU" out of the box. Board manufacturing date of 2023-04 so BIOS wasn't even close for 14th gen CPU support.

After installing drivers and upgrading windows 11 the system is so much faster and smoother than my 10th gen cpu z590 asus board that would turn on. The major pros is great price with cheapest 14th gen i5 cpu and runs all my old ram and has wifi for under $100.

- Cost - Features - Thunderbolt at 40 GBPS - WIN - M.2 slots

Simple setup, worked and updated itself on first power up zero issues thus far. Massive heat sinks everywhere running benchmarks so far everything has been optimal. Nothing over 70c at 100% on processor, board, or video card. Wish I had known before hand they had heat sinks installed on the M.2 sockets for M1 M3 and M4. Wouldnt have had to buy memory with heat sinks. This is more positive than negative hence the pros column.

- I like how it looks but till I can use the board I dont know what other pros I can give (waiting on my CPU cooler)

CPU power connecters in the upper-right instead of upper-left Plenty of connections for everything I need Looks good Toolless NVMe install I'm a fan of MSI BIOS features & design

Very easy to install Instructions clean and understandable

- Running with no issues after setting it all up: BIOS Update to support 13th gen Intel & driver installations - Looks sleek, no RGB - LED debugger

Very sturdy build, BIOS update is easy, extremely stable and pushes my high end components well.

- easy to set up lots of space

It has a 2.5GB Lan and B760 chipset

Plenty of heads for multiple fans and case inputs. Works with 14th Gen i7.

Easy to install booted up immediately with easy to follow bios settings. Board is basic but good power delivery

This motherboard is a value king. Latest chipset, good number of vrm, up to i7 I would not consider to buy anything more expensive. For intel 13600k this is a masterpiece combination. DDR 6000MHz support without any hiccups, enable memory profile job done

- all the features of a ATX motherboard but smaller - 3 m.2 slots are a game changer

The reason I went with Gigabyte Z790 intel Aorus Elite X motherboard was the following -Company has always been known to make outstanding motherboards and have great customer service if needed. - Engineering of the board when used with a 14900k CPU lanes allows more expandability vs most motherboard manufacture out there. If you look where the 16x slot is for the video card you can easily install a RTX 4090 and not take up any valuable PCIE slots. Go look at ASUS now and you will see what i mean. The last two 16x slots are 16x full slots and the only manufacture i know of who has two slots completely free and usable that run at x4 PCIE 4.0 most will run at PCIE 3.0 or not be 16x full slot. You can easily add a thunderbolt card, 10GB enterprise NIC, or a HBA card to add another 8 HDDs. For my use case i am adding a Sound Blaster AE-9 and a Intel 10GB nic . The M.2 access is super ez. A simple latch gets you access to all M.2 slots which have 4 . Personally I felt this destroys every other mother maker for design and ease of use vs having to put back a puzzle of screws holding a large plastic piece on the motherboard. You should be able to get x4 cpu lanes for 3 M.2 slots but you might want to check the manual as far as i know two sata 3G ports will be disabled leaving you with 4 sata slots 6G bandwidth. Wifi 7 is the next gen speed and will make 1GB-2.5GB obsolete once wi fi 7 routers mature and get even faster but may take another 2 years. I would expect easily 3GB/s transfers or 300-700MB/s computer to computer.

5 Gb ethernet port. Large number of high bandwidth port options. Overbuilt VRM section. Very good but not not excellent build quality. Amazing options for a board near the bottom of MSI's product family.

Fortnite works great with this mobo. I feel that this is a future proof item, should last me years. I hear the OLED screen will be able to display pictures in future BIOS updates.

-beautiful board -plenty of high speed connections (TB5, TB4, 10G LAN, etc)
