Plenty of features. Easy to use software. What more could you want in a motherboard?
Has everything needed for upgrade to windows 11 to be worth it since board features are mainly win 11 only. At first was just booting but not loading anything, turns out i needed to push both sides of ram down and put them in A2 and B2 slot. Got DDR5 6000 was worried cause intel i7 14700kf said 5600 max supported but the xmp for it to worked out and ram runs great with it. Also was worried was doing to much man handling of board cause i installed it then pulled it back out then back in. Anywho though just needed seat the ram snug down in dimm. Everything bought for it works great thank you
Looks good, feels good, working good.
LGA1700 will be around for a while PCI 5.0 will be available for next gen GPU Supports 128gb DDR5 (anything above 64 is overkill) Supports 4 M.2 slots
It has a 2.5GB Lan and B760 chipset
Flash Bios USB Port + Button, Instant Driver Support via MSI after OS Install, Solid All Around IMO
Bought this MB with a Raptor Lake i5 to replace my old Asus Zxx MB and Kaby Lake i7 that were not capable of upgrading to Windows 11. Reused my old CM PS, CM Heatsink, Nvidia card and even my old 16GB of PC4 RAM. Booted-up and it automatically booted Windows 10 from my old SSD. I was then able to "Upgrade" to Windows 11 (rather than having to buy a new copy) and it has worked perfectly. When I first started doing builds 30 years ago, if you changed the CPU, MB or HD, you had to start all over. Not this time. Don't know why?
Simple setup, worked and updated itself on first power up zero issues thus far. Massive heat sinks everywhere running benchmarks so far everything has been optimal. Nothing over 70c at 100% on processor, board, or video card. Wish I had known before hand they had heat sinks installed on the M.2 sockets for M1 M3 and M4. Wouldnt have had to buy memory with heat sinks. This is more positive than negative hence the pros column.
Very easy to install Instructions clean and understandable
every label is displayed nicely very sturdy, especially when connecting those pesky pcie cables, you've gotta use a little force and the board holds nicely easy to install
z890 Aorus Elite WiFi7 w/Core Ultra 7 265k Both great I/O and internal connections, 1 USB-C/Thunderbolt, 5 USB 3.2 and 4 2.0 USB on the rear IO panel, not to mention however many extra you plug into the front connectors, built-in RGB LED's are nice, bright and add appeal even before in, I MUST be losing my mind because after doing BIOS updates HWInfo64 shows the motherboard is in the quad-channel memory setting, which I haven't heard anything about in the last 10 years or so and thought it was dead and gone. So a VERY pleasant surprise that not only am I upgrading from DDR4 3600Mhz ram to DDR5 6000 Mhz, but swapping from dual-channel to quad as soon as I get 2 additional sticks of DDR5 ram
It work uhhhhh, very nice.
- everything is labeled
-minimal graphics and LEDs (for those who dislike them, could be a con) -M2 slots have heatsinks -great price point -lots of headers for fans -good build quality -solid bios -built-in Wifi works great
- easy to set up lots of space
- Lots of USB ports - Lots of M.2 slots - Stunning Looks - Solid build - Fair price considering cost of everything has gone up
Seems like a good product. I also have a Pro-Art Z690 and this one is considerably less expensive and similarly equipped. The Pro-Art has a few extra ports, but I didn't need some of them anyway. The BIOS interface is pretty good and made it easy to set up the fan, although the storage device naming conventions are a little weird, but I figured out what was what. I like the on-board serial port on the Pro-Art (requires a break-out cable), which this lacks, but I'm pleased it has all the front panel connectors for my Meshify case and 4 USB ports (I had to by a break-out for them), like the Pro-Art. These are very handy for getting more USB ports without having to go with the hub or using a PCIe slot. Fan control was easy to set up. My config is a 12900K CPU with a 2TB NVMe in the 1st slot, a GTX1070 GPU and a 256GB SATA SSD and 2 x 2TB SATA HDDs
The BIOS were easy to use for a rookie like me and managed to get my RAM to 7200 through XMP in a single step without issues. I also appreciated the screwless M2 SSD enclosures and heatsinks and both of my drives registered without issue.
I have been building PCs for about 20 years now and I finally gave in to purchasing a GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS MASTER X motherboard, and let me tell you, it's a game changer. The performance of this motherboard is nothing short of spectacular. I paired it with a 14th gen CPU, it is very fast and handles even the most demanding tasks. Whether you're gaming, streaming, or working on intensive projects, this motherboard does it all. I never got into overclocking, but I decided to give it a try with this motherboard. The BIOS is very easy to navigate, and makes the entire process very simple to do.
- GREAT VALUE - XMP 3.0 PROFILE SUPPORTED - SUPPORTS 13TH GEN CPU OUT OF THE BOX
