ALERT! It's 2025 already, and this motherboard will not recognize a GPT-partitioned device as bootable! Once I figured out why I didn't seem to have any bootable drives, I formatted and partitioned my M2 SSD with a MS-DOS partition table, and it was good to go. I bought a pair of 24 GB G.Skill Trident DDR5 DIMMs that are listed on the ASROCK QVL. The CPU is an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF. I learned that my nice legacy heatsink was incompatible with the heatsink footprint (the 4 holes) on a LGA 1851, so I bought a Noctua NH-D9L and it works great. CPU temp with air cooling is 32-35C. I;ve been a pretty reliable Asus MB user over the years, but this ASROCK unit is getting the job done for me and I have zero regrets for this decision.
Such a pretty board and has everything you could hope for in a motherboard. I'm very excited to start experimenting with the bios. I didn't even realize it had rgb over the io
Affordable price Excellent workmanship Stable and easy-to-use BIOS
A great motherboard, worked out of the box without needing a bios update, which was a nice change compared to past experiences with ASUS MBs. M.2 slots and heatsinks are easily accessible, even with a graphics card installed. Connectors feel solid, and the extra, rigid structure support on the back of the motherboard made me feel more confident that it would hold up well with a heavy graphics card mounted.
- 5gb LAN - Dual 8 pin CPU power - Supplemental 8 pin PCIe power - Easy GPU latch - Tool-less m.2 installation - All fan headers are 2 amp, pump header is 3 amp
-As of October 2024 purchase, it came with BIOS version 3/26/2024. It recognized the Core i3 14100 processor without any issue. Didn't need to put a 12th gen Core processor in to do any BIOS update. -From the above bulletpoint, my box had a "Next Gen CPU Ready" sticker on it probably to indicate it has the updated BIOS version to support 13th and 14th gen Core processors. -Compact size and has Wi-Fi card already included. -High quality -2x ARGB 5v headers for your LED lights -Integrated video output if you don't want to add a dedicated video card. (VGA, Displayport, and HDMI)
Epic engineering. Board is fast, stable and does everything I wanted it to do. Bios was recently updated and is rock solid stable! I appreciated the built in M.2 heat sink and extra M.2 ports on the back side of the motherboard. Absolutely brilliant in most aspects.
EZ bios and a lot of room for upgrades. Haven't oc my 10700k yet, but will update if anything comes up.
I think it's a fine micro board with a decent VRM heatsink. I flashed BIOS before installing the OS and everything is fine so far. The M.2 has a clever plastic piece to hold the SSD in place. Installing drivers from the disc included went fine. That's about it I guess.
Just what I am looking for in a motherboard that can be used in the future
Works right out the box no problems
The rgb on the motherboard looks really good the pcie button makes installing larger cards such as the 5090 much easier to do
- Easy to install - No issues, no needed updates to this bios before getting a post.
