- Cheap and powerful, great for homelab and dev purposes - 8 drive bays is dope - The E5-2670 can boost to 3.3GHz - Good I/O (2x front USB and 2x rear USB) - Internal USB for boot - Room for expansion cards
The system was well packed, professionally presented, and matched all specifications as stipulated in the listing.
I have bought several of theses units throughout the year for our offices. All I have been great! All power right up and ready to go right out of the box. Thanks guys!
(1) FreeBSD 12.2 can run on this machine, albeit with a few unsupported hardware components that I haven't missed in four months of running it. This device's listing on http://bsd-hardware.info/ was accurate. (2) Price! (3) Four gigabit NICs, all working under FreeBSD. (4) Low-power, though I haven't measured it. On paper it's half the idle power as a similarly-spec'd machine I've used as a workstation.
