This thing is truly amazing. Can run models up to 200 billion parameters. (Most of mine are between 70-120b, but my 24b "devstral" model is very useful for simple coding.) For a "personal AI" it's perfect. I use it to assist with sensitive client matters that I do not want to "share" with public AI services. Yes, it is brittle, but it is not hard to perform factory-restore using Nvidia's image - they have clear instructions posted and AI can help you if you need it. Be sure to use Nvidia's tool to create the boot thumb-drive. The unique hardware and driver situation makes this computer incompatible with other distros or OSes.

I decided to replace my old Synology DS414 with the DS425. It was still working very well, but after 12 years of service, I decided to replace it. I appreciated Synology's updates and exceptional stability. That's why I have no concerns about the DS425. Thank you to this company and its very reliable products.

Works right out of the box - easy to set up with some YouTube tutorial help to get the settings I want. Loving how easy it is to manage, install my docker apps, and configure to what I like. You can keep it as easy or as complicated as you like. I was brand new to the NAS world and am happy with my UGREEN so far.

I was impressed with how the unit was packaged, the included accessories and the unit's design. UGREEN'S attention to details is top notch. I easily installed both of my drives on the unit's HDD rails, slid them in and booted up. I opted for a local configuration only (no UGREEN ID or web access) over LAN. UGOS is minimal but effective: configuration, diagnostics, basic apps, user management, etc. I also installed the UGREEN NAS app on my iPhone, which also works good.

Best NAS OS DSM 7.3, user friendly, robust, slick. Can use any HDD brand with DSM 7.3. Support RAID and SHR.

So easy to setup physically and soft. Enought apps for my needs (Streaming movies) With a WD red in it, was able to stream over Wi-Fi and copyng large files at the same time on it. Silent Robust construction No compatibility limitations compare to... tried to give Ugreen a try and I was really impressed.

Works superbly. Easy to setup. Very good management software. Lots of other users (e.g. on Reddit). Bought empty, and populated with four (4) 6TB drives (WD6001F4PZ-49CWHM0). More storage than I'll need for a decade.

This is a great Enterprise solution. It has Enterprise Cyber Security.

4-in-3, simple yet effective design. Trays slide in and out without much effort. A big plus is compatibility with the RSV-L4000 server case and NZXT cases. Compatible with 2.5" and 3.5" drives. Only needs 2 IDE power connectors to power all four SATA drives. The 120mm fan is changeable. I used a Noctua NF-S12A FLX for silent operation, plus it already has a short cable so there isn't much extra slack lying around your case (nothing a little zip tie treatment won't fix, however). CHEAP! Other backplanes of this size with similar features run much more expensive than this.

As of DSM 7.3 you can now use any name brand drive again. I tested with my old 4 TB Seagate Red drives and no issues.
