Perfect for me - just wanted a simple NAS for data backups. I plugged it in and in 1 minute it was booted and on-line taking on data. Didn't have to touch a thing. I didn't install the Navigator. The web-based settings interface is easy to use and everything it does seems to be perfectly clear. I did turn on the DLNA service - yes it instantly shows up as a source on my "smart" BluRay player.

Smoothed edges, solid construction, minimal parts list.

Package was shipped quickly and arrived without delays

To those with hot swapping failures - see first if your mobo itself will allow it. Chances are it wont or may require a bios setup change. Test your motherboard for hot swapping without the iStar yourself, it's easy enough. A PCI express sata card will usually be ok but not always. All there is inside this unit is a sata connector, nothing electronic to conk out, be incompatible, or of shoddy design. I use mine to test multi OSes and to clone boot drives for backup purposes. Works for me.
