This Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus has very Clean Sound Quality and does not Dull out at High Volume Levels as the Creative Sound Blaster Z did. The Creative Sound Blaster Z was a very Poor Quality Sound Card and the Software was even more frustrating. This AE-5 Plus sounds better than the EVGA Nu Audio and even better at Higher Volume Levels. The EVGA would dull out the High Frequencies at 90% Volume levels. The EVGA was way overpriced for what it was and had no What You Hear Software, so no Music Audio was not possible to Record with no Stereo Mix options available. That to me was an EVGA Rip Off to not include What You Hear Stereo Mix.
got it to replace a USB dac that kept having connectivity issues. being on the board this is more reliable and does the job as being an rca line out to an headphone amp
* Easily installed and accessed * Drivers are up-to-date * Amazing sound quality (Note: I use ATH-m50x headphones) * Sleek, minimalist design on the card in-tower * Usable with a more wide array of input and output cords * Directional sound is absolutely ridiculous. My COD abilities went through the roof after this purchase. * Deep bass you can feel, punchy drums, beautiful trebles * PCIe format keeps the table-top clutter to a minimum, as opposed to other amp and dac combos * The audio control module adds a layer of instantaneous, "analog" control that I absolutely love.
- Windows 10 detects and automatically installs with zero hassle - Great sounding audio over my onboard Realtek sound (especially at 24-bit/192KHz) - Reasonable price
Sound quality. Great sound processing. Control and convenience.
This card was very easy to install and get running and made a huge improvement in the sound and versatility of my computer as a music player and is worth the money .
I brought this because my mother board sound card was dying and was unable to install an internal card due to my graphics card being mounted vertically in my case preventing access to the card slots. This little device was easy to connect and use having noticeably better sound quality than the original mother board audio before it developed issues.
Motherboard sound went out and sound card wouldn't work with windows 10. This works just fine for me. Akso a great price and shipping was very quick.
I love the sound I hear. It is small and pretty. I love it.
Easy install
- Pretty much plug and play - Cheap - Corn Electronics got it here fast - Better than "Crab" audio
Picked this card up in 2005, it still sounds great. Its been in and out of use over the years, but I reinstalled it maybe six months ago. Once I found some good Windows 7 64 bit drivers I was off and running. Ripping some old music CDs to my NAS never sounded better. Well worth the money to snag one cheap on the Bay
-Works out-of-the-box on Windows and PS4 -Works with any 3.5mm jack device -Sounds better than my on-board sound card
creative sound card quality, pci express, no extra configuration or sound tweaks needed for my 2.1 setup, Windows 7 x64 installs and it is ready to go.
Got this because it's compatible with Windows 98 Upon boot, Win 98 detected it, it installed a PCE-E to PCI bridge chip driver. I had to install the driver manually after, but that's just Windows 98 being bad.
