It is very small which is what I needed. I use it with my laptop so I needed something that wouldn't protrude very far and risk damaging my USB port. At most the flash drive protrudes about 0.5 inch. It has adequate capacity at 256GB. It does get warm as other reviewers have stated but I have never noticed it being extremely hot and while plugged in I notice no significant heat at all. If I remove the drive from the USB port right after heavy use then I do notice some heat but nothing serious and no more than any other flash drive I've used in the past. It is fast enough for my uses. I have done no formal performance testing but when using Windows Explorer to copy files between my SSD and this flash drive I average sequential read speeds of 30 MBs and sequential write speeds of 17 MBs. These numbers are achieved while doing transfers between my laptop SSD and the USB flash drive, note that my laptop SSD is not a high performance SSD so a high performance SSD could yield better performance. It simply seems to be a very solid quality device overall. I have zero complaints.
