This adapter greatly boosts the signal to my room. The wifi card that came with this laptop was not good enough, the wifi icon was only at 2 bars. When I use the adapter, the signal is full with 3 bars. It also makes the connection more stable, I haven't lost the connection since using this adapter.

-Was shipped from a US facility (I think?), the intel listing was shipping from China last I checked. -Doesn't require an additional wire to the USB header for the bluetooth unlike some (all?) PCI-e cards. -Zero problems with it so far, got my drivers from intel.com and haven't had any real problems.

Up to three times faster than my wired internet (tested with multiple cables, including a pretty new one; I don’t know if it is because PCI-E ports have more pins than the wired Ethernet port, but I tested it again and again and kept getting high 200’s on wireless and below 100 on wired) Easy install Inexpensive Seems pretty future proof No more Ethernet cables draped across the floor I like the permanency of installing it into the case instead of hanging out of a USB port—potentially snapping at the wrong move, occupying a USB port, potentially slower than wiring the thing up to the motherboard directly (I don’t know, though)
