- An awesome amount of storage for the money spent - Outstanding performance for a mechanical device

- It is a hard drive - it instals like any normal hard drive - it is as loud or quite as any drive

A good amount of storage for a reasonable price.

I've only had one Seagate utterly and completely die on me - the one I RMA'd, which was dead on arrival. Even when Seagate's start dying, you can usually recover most of the data. I've never had one that was completely unreadable.

I bought the wrong drive either through my lack of knowledge or a glitch on the web site, I contacted new egg they told me they would contact seller to get in touch. I explained I did not have the packaging as I expected the drive to work. Within a few hours I was contacted by EOL and they made it good even tough I may have been the one at fault. I really did not know SAS from ESATA. Sent the SAS back for a credit and they quick shipped the SATA my way.

Built a 5.5TB RAID 5 array on a Dell 2950 with a Perc 5i controller. Using this a shared filesystem for a small office. No issues with these drives and they are fast SAS drives.

7200 rpm drive with a five year warranty.

Storage design for NVRs, this was added to my UDMP-SE to expand storage for use with Unifi Protect. Works as expected, and full advertised storage available. No issues in the weeks since install. I hope to see years of dependable storage.

- The drive performs very well with sequential read and write speeds around 265 MB/s. - The drive stays cool(90 F) under heavy load even in a regular desktop chassis that this drive is not designed for without any fans nearby! - Solid Construction

Ran 4 of these in a storage array for a few years. They replaced a similar array built on smaller SATA drives. Needless to say, they're muuuuch faster than the SATA drives.
