Have not got my HDD and OS yet but the motherboard did recognize it in bios without issue or driver download needed for initial install. How ever based on the reviews I have seen on YouTube it does in fact seem to give you decent data reads and writes (meaning faster read write speeds of HDD) without the SSD price tag per GB of data of larger HDDs
