-I used this board for my first ever PC build, and it offers some great, simple features for a solid price. -PCIe 5 support is super helpful, will pair well with the new 50 series or 9070 GPUs -Easy to build with, having 3 M2 slots is great for future expansions -Plenty of USB slots -Supports my 9800x3D CPU like a dream
Easy to understand bios Lots of usb ports Great value No rgb 2 nvme slots (one on the back)
very solid board, good quality, easy to set up, lot of options for case fans, cpu fans, and 2 M.2 one with heat shields. M. 2 key for wifi,
Multiple M2 slots, 4 SATA connections, Lots of USB with high speed. One HDMI and two display/USB ports can connect three monitors directly or daisy chain more. Includes Wi-Fi with a two-connector antenna. Has on board graphics. Many fan power connectors. Pretty much everything I need. Two PCIE 16 slots in case I want to add a GPU and whatever else. I also added additional front panel USB/Card slots so I have top panel USB, back panel USB and front panel USB/card slots. Somewhere around 20 USB ports. Downloaded the ASUS software that installed all the drivers very quickly. No problems finding drivers, etc. Loaded up Windows Pro 11, had a minor hiccup installing Windows but AI chat helped me get around that fairly easily. Bought Windows 11 Pro from StackSocial for $13. Support there was great and software works great.
- helpful ease of use features - lots of headers to support tons of connections
- Design, I like the all black design and heat spreaders keeping it minimal. - b850, comes with newer features like pcie 5.0, gen 5 storage, and 9000 series support - wifi, always a plus and personally I always prefer the attachable antenna instead of the little tower with a wire some motherboards use - 8 usb on back, more that enough for my peripherals - pcie 16x location, for my specific matx case, I wanted the pcie lane for the gpu to be at its highest so there would not be a extra slot between the cpu cooler and gpu - dual motherboard display output, helped me a lot when I was out a gpu and needed to use my computer with integrated graphics. -Bios, very user friendly, easy to tune ram and cpu
Here are some of the positives: new, fresh technology smell of perchlorates? maybe not now, teamed 8-Phase VRM, x16 (x8), x4, x2 PCIe Gen 4 (relative to AMD R7 8700G "flagship APU"), USB4 (like Firewire), WIFI7 320MHz, X870E ("full" connectivity with 8700G from only X870E with 2nd chipset), NVME is easy to install while inside case--just remove GPU or not--turn, lift, place, or press, and Post Code DEBUG Multiplexer-DeMultiplexer (I never had one before; I just relied on the speaker chirps or LEDs).
- Genuine white components throughout - Straightforward installation process - User-friendly BIOS layout - Generous USB port selection - Seamless XMP performance with quick memory initialization - Includes several convenient features such as Q-Flash functionality and diagnostic POST code display
Smol footprint. Perfect for cube computer!
Simple setup, worked and updated itself on first power up zero issues thus far. Massive heat sinks everywhere running benchmarks so far everything has been optimal. Nothing over 70c at 100% on processor, board, or video card. Wish I had known before hand they had heat sinks installed on the M.2 sockets for M1 M3 and M4. Wouldnt have had to buy memory with heat sinks. This is more positive than negative hence the pros column.
Some things I love about this motherboard is the build quality. The quick latch SSD Cover for example is solid metal with an attached fabric hold which I really like. The cover for the extra SSD slots is also solid metal and feels quality. Overall I feel that the product has a premium feel to it that is noticeable. You are also getting an x870 motherboard with some really top of the line features, like WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a whole bunch of useful ports on the I/O panel. Some other small positives are that the color scheme is superb for an all white build, the RGB lighting on the logo is very cool, and you get some quality accessories with your purchase such as the White Wifi Receiver (I received a keychain strap as well)
-Compatibility: With AM5 -Price: I got mine with a large discount because of a promo but at its current price still seems like a good deal -Easy to install: Didn't take me too long to set it all up in my computer -Appearance: My build isn't full white, but I really like the color and its contrast to the build
- Sturdy, feels tough, well built - No BIOS update needed for latest 9000 AMD series processors. - Easy to apply CPU under-volt with performance presets in BIOS. - Built-in IO Shield - Wifi Antenna holes - 1 USB-C port and 1 header for future upgrades
Aesthetics are pleasing. I am super pleased that this wasnt decked out with rgb lighting. It was a blast to build with this motherboard. It is tiny but has everything youre looking for. Easy to set up and I was gaming within less than 2 hrs.
-Hefty when you pick it up. Feels solid. -Comes with Debug LED
3 m.2 slots, easy setup, supports most needed connections for RGB, fan, USB etc, Works without a hitch,
As usual, at least in my experience, ASUS products have been solid performers. I use ASUS motherboards in all my computer builds, never had one mal-function.
Very sturdy motherboard, looks fantastic, easy setup, perfect amount of features, plenty of USB ports, minimal lane-sharing issues, easy to use BIOS
