- Uses little power - Has four SATA ports - Works perfectly with Linux
Before I upgraded to a Ryzen 7 3700x with 32gb ddr4 3200 CL14 using this motherboard. I owned an i7 4790k stock with 32gb ddr3 1866mhz using an MSI Z87 Mpower motherboard. Used the same sata ssd boot drive with 2 7200rpm HDD and two optical drives. There were no compatibility issues with my hardware. It booted into windows 10 2004. Of course I eventually reinstalled the os. I can run all my games using my 1440p 144hz Gsync compatible monitor. Rocking a GTX 1080, now my cpu won't hold me back. Soundblaster AE-7 sound cards work with no issues with the ROG Crosshair Hero VIII Wifi motherboard.
- USB-C & 3.2 front headers - 2 m.2 slots - So many bells & whistles! And the software seems decent to me so far. The ASUS AI noise cancelling is great
Easy to use and fine look.
The rgb on the motherboard looks really good the pcie button makes installing larger cards such as the 5090 much easier to do
This motherboard is a value king. Latest chipset, good number of vrm, up to i7 I would not consider to buy anything more expensive. For intel 13600k this is a masterpiece combination. DDR 6000MHz support without any hiccups, enable memory profile job done
