Recognized by most O/S out of the box High-throughput WOL support Full and half PCIe form-factor 4-in-1 - convenient!
Excellent performance & reliability. Real gigabit throughput with low cpu usage. Link aggregation, VLAN
Awesome fast. We did a transfer between 2 servers sith 10G and got over 600MB / sec.
Very fast and drivers are built-in to Windows 2012. Works in a Thecus NAS. Bought 3 for a cluster.
Fantastic speeds, little CPU utilization.
top quality components. solidly put together. very easy to install. for me this won over other similarly bundled sets of identical component by the the price (on average 10-20$ less), and that antennas are not attached to the card. which btw didn't even seem to be necessary as i got 6E speeds off the initial installation before i even bothered to attach the wired magnetic pod. also, unlike some other similar bundles this included both the long and the short brackets.
I've been a fan of Super Micro for 13 years now, and not once have their products let me down. The NIC worked on the first try and has native Linux support, which is what I needed for my new router build. So much better than my old Intel PCI-X dual port gigabit NIC. The old card would overheat so much that I had to install a heatsink, or the NIC would keep dropping offline. Even though this new Super Micro NIC has a heatsink on it, it doesn't even get slightly warm, even under heavy loads. It also has way more throughput and lower latencies, thanks to the newer PCIe bus.
Have this set up with a crossover cable to a NAS with isczy targets for the VMs. Much faster than the onboard lan, which was also an intel chipset.
