I bought this for my wife's desktop so it can be used during power outages. It works great. It gives her internet and Bluetooth (for her mouse). FYI, the internet we use during power outages isn't as fast as our normal internet. So, getting a higher speed adapter would not help.

For 13 bucks this is a great little USB Wireless N Adapter. If you are already connected to the web (via lan or another wireless device) the driver installation is automatic upon plugging in the device. If not then it's as simple as grabbing the drivers from their site and installing on your machine via usb flash drive. I used this to replace the built in wifi on a laptop that I haven't yet gotten a replacement pci card for. Works great! I get a good strong signal over the entire house and the dongle is quite unobtrusive when moving the machine around and doesn't really snag on anything in the bag when I pack it away because of it's size. I'm getting around 100mb/s internally on my network transferring files from my NAS. Internet speeds are around 50mb/s (should cap around 60). Overall a great little device to use as a replacement in a laptop or just to keep around in a pinch!

Cheap (bought at $31.99) and fast. The Bluetooth works well as I have connected multiple controllers to it. The speeds work as fast as my wifi 6E WAP can provide.

I was stunned by the range that the Bluetooth radio had on the Fenvi FV-AXE3000Pro PCIe card. I may be comparing the newest Bluetooth standard to older ones, but nonetheless, with my old setup, if I went behind a wood and drywall wall in my house, the connection would crackle and then drop on my Sony WH-1000XM5 headset. With this card installed and setup with the latest drivers, I could go downstairs and behind 3-4 walls and keep my crystal clear FLAC files filling my head. As a bonus, it comes with a full-length slot adapter and a shorter home media PC adapter. It also gives you the option of attaching the twin 360° antennas directly to the card or to a remote stand that will allow you to fine tune the antennas. One note: very important, the card does connect via a PCIe slot (4,8 or 16 doesn't matter) but also has to connect to an internal USB header on the Motherboard. You must make sure that you have one unused USB header on the motherboard before buying this card. -J₂
