Intel Core i5 9th Gen - Core i5-9600KF Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz (4.6 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I59600KF Desktop Processor Without Graphics

Pros: Super Fast Great Overclocking Potential Runs Cool and Quiet

Cons: None

Overall Review: I coupled this with a quality MSI motherboard and have not been disappointed. I suppose I got lucky and am able to overclock this to 5.2 GHz at 1.352 volts and it is completely rock solid and stable. The overclock has resulted in serious gains of 10 to 20% performance over stock in many titles and makes all of my games shine in 4K when paired with my new RTX 2080 Super. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance and would recommend this CPU for any gamer who wants great frame rates without having to pay for a ridiculously expensive i7 or i9. I don't see any reason to upgrade this thing anytime soon and I will most likely be purchasing more to upgrade my kids computers too. The price was amazing and this thing just rocks!

No Quality Check

MasterLiquid Lite 120 All-in-one CPU Liquid Cooler with Dual Chamber Pump, INTEL/AMD with AM4 Support
MasterLiquid Lite 120 All-in-one CPU Liquid Cooler with Dual Chamber Pump, INTEL/AMD with AM4 Support

Pros: Water cooler for the price of an air cooler.

Cons: The included fan is defective and makes a horrendous noise when it's plugged in. Thankfully my case came with an extra fan because I'm not waiting on super slow OnTrac shipping again for a replacement. The installation was a pain and the bracket didn't fit when adjusted according to the manual. I had to loosen the pegs on the bracket to get it to fit in my motherboard. The tubes are very stiff and not at all flexible. They do rotate a little bit at the connectors but I still couldn't find a way to make it look good inside my case.

Overall Review: I would not purchase this item again, refurbished or otherwise. The design is poor, the installation is difficult and the quality control is non-existent.

Cons: Cheap Thin and flexible PCB Low Quality Components Breaks if you look at it wrong Low reliability

Overall Review: I bought this motherboard in Feb 2019 as part of a bundle deal and got it for a great price. It lasted less than 45 days before it one day without warning just suddenly shut off and never powered on again. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps I could and was not able to get it to turn back on. There was no physical damage and I had never overclocked with it and used only quality parts like an EVGA 80 Plus Gold PSU and Teamgroup memory. ASRock customer support gave me no hassle and approved my RMA quickly. I had to pay out of pocket to ship it to them and then they used the absolute cheapest FedEx Smart Post to send it back at a snail's pace. I was without a motherboard for 3 weeks total. The replacement board worked well enough for about 90 more days before it decided it had enough and stopped working in the same fashion as the first one. I tried the same troubleshooting steps and nothing would bring it back to life. I've checked my setup including wall outlets and wiring, I made sure none of the cables in my case were causing issues and I even checked all of my other components in another motherboard and everything was fine. The quality of these motherboards is just total garbage and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who wants their machines to work for any length of time. I've been building computers for nearly 10 years and I have never had issues this severe with any other motherboards or components. I don't trust that the 2nd replacement ASRock is going to send me is actually going to work and I will probably sell it to try to recoup the money I spent on this trash. I will never buy from ASRock again. P.S. This is the second attempt I've made to post this review as the first one was "mysteriously" never posted. I tried to be a little more thorough and diplomatic with my review this time as I am still livid that this thing has died on me twice now...

Excellent Graphics for Under $200

ASUS Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card HD7850-DC2-2GD5

Pros: After ensuring that I installed the latest drivers from AMD (2 weeks old compared to Asus' 4 month old drivers), everything worked perfectly. I am able to play any game or video I throw at it in perfect 1920x1080. I recently set up Borderlands 2 to run multiple instances on multiple monitors and this graphics card can deliver both monitors a copy of the game with the settings maxed in each. Videos of any size load instantaneously and skipping inside of videos is fast!

Cons: Very large, installing the card was not as easy as I had hoped. Although once I put everything back together, the fit was perfect.

Overall Review: I have read that using Asus outdated drivers can cause "problems" so just go with AMD's drivers from their website. They work just fine for me.
