5 stars not enough
Pros: Just setup with Windows 10 and zooooom. Up and running so fast I didn't even have time to measure it. Even the first run of updates finished in under a minute (was watching closer this time).
Cons: Well, it is a Samsung and they tend to make very good electronics. Time will tell.
Overall Review: Got two so onto cloning to see how fast that works.
nice, but not again
Pros: See previous two reviews. Good overclocker, built in power/reset switches. Good overall board, but dropping my rating due to no support from Biostar.
Cons: Lousy manual, as I should have known. Don't like their way of moving jumpers to set SLI. First PCIe too close to CPU, can't fit a lot of aftermarket coolers. Ordered the Zerotherm FZ120, which allows rotation of the cooler for clearance of video card. Getting all 6 of the sata ports takes setting the BIOS IDE configuration to RAID, using an IDE HDD and CD to setup XP, and then to clone it to a sata drive. Their could be an easier way, but I know this way works.
Overall Review: Not going to buy another Biostar board until I know ALL the facts and start by sending an email support request to see if that is working (still no response to my support request on sata bios settings).
works BUT
Pros: works to switch between two computer
Cons: does not work with several of my gaming mice or keyboards after trying 5 mice and 3 keyboard I finally found a setup that does work but it is not the combination I wanted
Overall Review: do I keep it or return HUMMMM
MSI PRO Z690-A Review Rebate Program
Pros: As you can see from the photo my new setup is running. With the MSI CORELIQUID C240 AIO CPU Cooler I am getting consistent overclocks at 4.9GHZ. Add in the Corsair Dominator 4GHZ DDR4 ram to provide speed to the two Samsung SSD PRO M.2 drives running at 6.8Ghz and my desktop populates with my inputs without hesitations. Internet browsing is fast and running the on-board Intel video clear and concise for great searches or YouTube viewing. Hookups for the RGB lighting were easy to control through the MSI Control Center.
Cons: NONE
Overall Review: This combo work perfectly for me and with my older MSI Z590-A PRO setup I can now work and play at the same time. This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. By Marvin Purdy
works great, easy to configure
Pros: took only a few minutes of reading and connecting to get it setup, with the many Velcro ties it was easy to bundle the cable for easy case management, quiet fan
Cons: none currently
Overall Review: for the power and cable wraps it is an excellent value
great price
Pros: Nice colors. Exceptional price.
Cons: Installation on my Intel 1200 socket was a little tedious. I was trying to put the lock in place and was afraid of breaking a tab due to the amount of force needed to latch the locking tab.
Overall Review: would consider purchase again, having done one
runs hot
There are no instructions in the package, just a QR code that I will not access with my phone. I went to the website, inputted the model from the sticker on the side and received a not found popup. So much for good site work.
Good product, slow delivery
I was annoyed by the amount of time it took the third party shipping agent to deliver the purchase into the USPS system for delivery to my house. It was only traveling from the Los Angeles, Ca area to Tucson, AZ Distribution center which took 7 days to complete then another day to deliver to my mailbox. Seller was very sorry about the delay but was unable to get the item moved any faster by the third party shipping agent. After delivery, I installed the TPM module and now I am able to upgrade to Windows 11.
all the goodies
I was totally surprised with the complete package. Velcro tie wraps for every possible need to keep cables neat and tidy. Plenty of power for my new Intel I5 11600K on an MSI Z590 PRO motherboard with 32GB 3600MHz RAM. Video is an MSI RTX 3060 Gaming Trio.
