Pros: These are outstanding drives! I purchased 2 for a RAID 0 setup and the performance numbers are excellent. I ran ATTO on a single drive, then in RAID 0. Single HDD I scored 140~150MB write and 150~165 read. RAID 0 scored 250~260MB write and 325~360MB read. The speeds almost doubled in RAID 0 (as it should be).

Cons: There are no cons. Anyone complaining about the lack of SATA locking don't understand what this drive is designed for.

Overall Review: In other thoughts, these drives are almost as fast as my raptors. I was not expecting these drives to be this fast (RAID or not)... I have purchased about 50+ WD drives and have never received a DOA and they normally last a very long time. This drive is an Enterprise class with a 5 year warranty, how can you beat that? I'm, hoping that someone who reads my review finds something helpful. With all these EggExpert reviews, it's hard to add anything useful except my RAID performance results. I will also add this: I installed these two drives on a Marvell 88SE9172 chip (This is a built RAID controller on my X79 platform motherboard). Hope you find something useful in my review! Pros: It has a blue LED which matches my case.

Cons: Absolutely abysmal performance! Atto gives me 15MB write and 45MB read. CrystalDiskMark also gives 15.36MB write and 45.56MB read Copying a 4GB MP3 database I was averaging 8~13MB.... This is no where near the listed speeds for this drive. I paid $33.00 but I could of purchased a USB 2.0 that would have yielded about the same results for about $10~15.00 less.

Overall Review: I have spent a lot of money at NewEgg and this is only my second 1 Egg review. Very disappointing. This USB thumb drive was tested with my motherboards onboard USB 3.0 ports. They are on a Fresco Logic Controller FL1009 series. My motherboard is a Gigabyte UP4-X79. As a side note, NewEgg shipped the item very fast and everything on NewEggs end was fine. It's the false listing speeds that have me so annoyed.

Pros: It's hard to review these motherboards properly without sounding redundant. I don't want to parrot the specs, you already know what they are... What people are looking for most is did the product work. YES, it works as it should. I had no issues... I understand a lot of people buy these boards for their overclocking potential, but I have no plans on Overclocking so I can't speak to that. I have enabled XMP and my RAM is set to 3000Mhz. My Ram is Kingston Predator, I'm using all 8 slots on the board (4x8 for 32GB) One thing I really like is that the RAID feature is built into the UEFI (BIOS) and not a separate splash screen prolonging boot times.

Cons: The only con isn't really a con because I knew it going in, but I really wish the X299 and Intel LGA2066 chips supported PCIe 4.0... I was on the fence making this purchase because of the lacking 4.0 support... But I started with the X58, X79, X99 and the x series Intel chipsets have always been rock solid stable for... No BSOD's ever.... The X299 is a very mature and refined chipset so I made the purchase... Couldn't be happier and when Intel comes out with the X299 replacement, I'll buy that. :)

Overall Review: Final thoughts, I absolutely would make this purchase again.... NewEgg as always shipped the item out fast and secure.

Pros: SSD speed on a HDD!!! I paired this device with 2, 1 TB WD Reds and 2, 60GB mSATA Kingston drives. I setup 2 individual RAID arrays that show up as two drives in the O/S. I ran atto and I reached 450MB and 510MB write. Never even touched the HDD as I have a 60GB Cache Buffer more or less.

Cons: Only con is that you can't use 2 mSata and 2 HDD's to make 1 array. 1 mSATA and 1 HDD per array if you're using Hyperdou.

Overall Review: IN other thoughts, HyperDuo is a lot like Intel Rapid storage technology.... Or maybe a better analogy is like a RAM drive using mSATA instead of RAM.

Pros: There's not really too much to review on a product like this other than to say I've had mine for about three months and they have been absolutely problem free.... Works as it should and it's quite a powerful little charger.

Overall Review: When I purchased this one (Mine is the white one, but color aside, they're the same product) , I also got a black one (The one in this review) for my 14 Y.O. daughter.. She takes it everywhere with her and it receives a lot abuse.... After 3 months, it still works great... I would recommend this product. As always, NewEgg shipped fast and secure and at a great price point!
